My cataract surgery with Dr. Amy Cherof was such a pleasant experience ! She was very thorough with explaining the entire process and the surgery went well. It’s so exciting to be able to see without glasses and I would highly recommend Dr. Cherof to friends and family!!
I am very difficult to please, but had a great experience with MEC when I had cataract surgery. First, Dr. Cherof is a skilled surgeon. She is straightforward and knows what she is doing. Exactly what I want in a surgeon. Second, MEC's staff is knowledgeable and communicates clearly. I knew what to expect. Third, this medical practice is well-organized. They respected my time. All of these things created trust and confidence.
Dr. Cherof was extremely thorough with her exam of both my eyes. I was told that I may have a torn retina and Dr. Cherof determined that my eyes were very healthy.

From my first meeting with Dr. Amy Cherof, through cataract surgery and two post follow-up checks, this experience has been outstanding. I was nervous about the surgery but Dr. Cherof, answered all my questions and helped make me comfortable with the choices I was making for the new lens and with using the laser.
