The absolute worse company to have manage a property. Illegally adding charges to rent for services you dont pay for. Will absolutely not repair anything. Leak in hot water tank. Shut off water for two weeks. Promised repairs, took off a combined 10 days nobody showed up to do work. Portal for concerns complete bullshit. Absolutely run if they are the leasing company. If I could give a negative review, it would be done!! Thee worst leasing company I’ve rented from in my adult years of renting. I thought the last rental company was bad but they have them beat!! I wouldn’t recommend this company to a pack of wild animals. The home is literally trifling. WORST RENTAL PLACE EVER! I thought my last management company was bad, but nobody tops Home River Group. We signed a lease and move into a home that home river had on the market. It was very clear that when we moved in that the house was not cleaned, repaired, or anything for that matter. When my wife and I moved in there were bugs all in the carpet, hair all over from the last previous tenants, and damage all over the house to walls, doors, latches, and too many more to count. There are no words for how frustrated I am with HRG.. I put in maintenance requests, and they sit for 3 WEEKS.. I ask what the status is and I get “I’ll look into this” then NOTHING.. I’ve complained about these stupid maple trees hanging over my driveway,I trimmed and now with storms I have branches falling and breaking.. what if one falls on the house or my kids??? Then what? If I could give them a negative review I would. If you care about your business and overall mental health, do not rent from HomeRiver or do business with them. I lived in my unit from 2016 without any issues—until they purchased the property. After that, I went without heat and water, and I even had tree branches nearly hit me in the head—large branches that could have seriously injured someone.
