WORST RENTAL PLACE EVER! I thought my last management company was bad, but nobody tops Home River Group. We signed a lease and move into a home that home river had on the market. It was very clear that when we moved in that the house was not cleaned, repaired, or anything for that matter. When my wife and I moved in there were bugs all in the carpet, hair all over from the last previous tenants, and damage all over the house to walls, doors, latches, and too many more to count. There are no words for how frustrated I am with HRG.. I put in maintenance requests, and they sit for 3 WEEKS.. I ask what the status is and I get “I’ll look into this” then NOTHING.. I’ve complained about these stupid maple trees hanging over my driveway,I trimmed and now with storms I have branches falling and breaking.. what if one falls on the house or my kids??? Then what? I am a property owner and Karla Montoya saved HomeRiver Group’s reputation as a property management company in my eyes!! I had a different property manager from the time I signed with them until my house got rented and it was a horrendous experience. My PM never answered her phone to the point where I was getting phone calls from people trying to tour the house but the lockbox code wasn’t working. We had Maurice in our house, five star quality dishwasher repair! He was very kind, patient, professional and explained everything easily. An easy recommendation, we would gladly have him in our home again.
Very disappointed in home river group. Went two months in the middle of summer (June & July) without A/C and they never once tried to accommodate anything. Not once recognized that it was a maintenance emergency, and would only respond, “tenant cannot withhold rent due to maintenance issues”, yet had no urgency to get this fixed. I called, emailed and complained to the property management over and over, created maintenance tickets as well.
