At first my experience with Home River group was great. They were on time with maintenance requests, they provided transparency with the home and announcements. Even though I did not like the rent increase last year, I at least received prompt notice with justification on the increase. Fast forward to this year. Rent is increase again without notice or justification. My old property manager was replaced, and I never was informed. They are the least responsive company my family and I have ever worked with. Sewage has over flowed multiple times into our rental because the foundation of the house is not right and there’s broken pipes and stuff that lead to the street they refuse to fix. It has been the biggest headache of a year renting from these people. There’s also a giant crack across the living area in the house and other issues. Just moving out of my first apartment to living over here . Due to my first experience at the first place, I was a bit skeptical. HomeRiver however has completely turned the prior experience around for me.Jackie is the person I worked with and she was helpful and efficient with any questions I had and getting things situated. I definitely recommend her and HomeRiver Group for all your property management needs.
A nightmare from start to finish. Go with ANY other company if you're trying to rent out your house. Gary was my line of contact and the communication was awful, the pictures were a joke, and it took weeks for them to update the listing any time I asked. It was so bad that I terminated the contract because it was breached by them so many times. After I spoke to other rental companies I learned that Home River has a terrible reputation, especially in San Antonio. Do NOT go with them.
