Ashely asked me to change my original review for a higher rating but she was mistaken in asking for more than what this company deserves :) it’s obvious this company is just after your money and does not care for the tenants or the inconvenience they cause with the lack of communication. I literally just moved in and I have been hit with fees for this and fees for that. I feel like I’ve been scammed. Unless you make a really nice living, I would not recommend dealing with this company because you will be throwing money away. They will charge you for something nearly daily. Their tenant portal never works properly. I paid my rent on 1/4/25 because my lease started the 3rd. I give Samantha Ford who works for this company five stars ONLY. She is AMAZING AND EFFICIENT. They give you a 12 hour window to get your keys or code vanishes and then you are stuck speaking to people who don’t understand English very well and who you cannot understand because the accent is so very thick……so leasing from out of state was a nightmare…. literally had to get someone in this town to go by so when we arrived with movers, , in the late evening, we would be able to get in ….::but the gate code would not work and ... read more
I have been renting with HomeRiver for a couple months now. I have ran into a small issue with a charge on my account. I reached out to the customer service email and even called them, and they were no help. I am not writing this review to shame on anyone, things happen. I am writing this review to shout out Mrs. Lori Grinstead. She has been helping me with my issue. She has been on top of everything, checking in with me daily, and actually listening to my issues. Haven’t even rented from them yet, but I DO NOT like that we cannot contact someone local to ask questions to directly. Having to call a call center where they don’t understand me is beyond frustrating. We had a few simple questions about a rental before putting in an application and now have to wait to hear back because the call center lady couldn’t get ahold of the leasing agent. 🙄 If this is what we have to look forward to as renters of theirs - we are out before even being fully in.
