Today I tried to order 2 doors and a bucket of nails... It took 20-30 mins on the phone. I received my estimate and it was missing items and they had the quantities wrong. I emailed and texted the salesman as I told him my cell phone coverage is spotty, and he said he had a work cell phone. He never responded. 13 minutes before close, I called them to work things out. I have used hammond lumber over the years. Always personable and efficient. Glad they are now where I work and are closer than home depot.
This is a great asset to the area and all of Maine with many locations throughout the state. Full line of anything you'd need from hardware and lumber to a multitude of in-house made metal roofing colors & styles.
These folks are the best! Always friendly, know their products, the load out guys treat you like family. Recently I ordered roofing to be delivered by a large corporation in maine with red trucks. Several days later they informed me it was too small an order and wouldn't do it. I called Ware/Butler Newport and asked if they could deliver shingles on my roof. I ordered my metal roofing from crescent lumber. Order was done correctly and in a timely fashion. Salesman made sure I had everything needed to complete the job. I was very happy with the final results.
