Awful experience. Used them to create an LLC and then to dissolve it. They still charged me $200 next year for a service agent fee for A NON EXISTING COMPANY THEY DISSOLVED. Support said they couldn’t refund but made me talk to their supervisor who wasted my time saying they don’t do refunds either. Save your money, go to a different company or directly to a lawyer.
They provide general documents that aren't tailored specific to your business. If you need something simple then use them. We did find lawyers in our area that are cheaper than this company. Also our Secretary of State helped us and SCORE, which were both free. After going to a lawyer to make sure our books were in order, we were told that an item we paid (about $200) for was null and void because it was a changed document of an initial [parent] which is not legally acceptable. I opened up a new business last week through online all myself and everything went through perfect no problems, anyway I called to ask a question about my 2nd business and they insisted that they wanted to help me open it, I said what the heck this should make it easier by the time we were done and they sent my information to the seratary of state I saw that my company name was spelled wrong, my name was spelled wrong and my email was wrong, like WTH we went through it line by line and now I have to file an ammendment and th... read more
Very bad customer service and experience. Once they got your money, they treat you like beggars. Do NOT choose LZ. Choose their competitors.
This has been one of the worst experiences I have had with a professional service, if not THE worst. On January 6th, I opted to try Legal Zoom to have a Living Trust prepared, along with a subscription for legal advice. Total - $494.10. I entered the necessary information. There was very little to enter - one asset, a co-op. I was then prompted to get a POA and Living Will (both which I did not need. I already had).
