I typically do not leave reviews; however, my bad experience with BBQ Guys and their unwillingness to honor a price quote I received is extremely bad business, in my opinion. I received a price quote over the holidays with an additional discount if I ordered within a short period of time. I placed the order within that time period, but after checking out the final cost that was processed did not include the additional discount nor my BBQ reward points. I am a builder and have used this product in several homes, I installed the large hood vent in my own home and have had several issues . After several months of getting jacked around I still have not had any success getting anyone to service my unit. I will not buy any products from this company again.
Spent a fortune on a supposed outdoor beverage fridge only to find out their recommended fridge was not outdoor. Now want me do the warranty work.
Recently purchased a grill for nearly $1400. Grill was shipped and arrived at my home a week later. Truck driver unloaded a pallet with a massive box on it that weighed 150 Lbs into my garage & left. Yes, the pallet and contents of the grill were dropped off wrapped with plastic. Spent about 30 minutes, opening the box and all 30 plus boxes inside to make sure all items have arrived, since you do have to put the grill together. I spent $4300 on a grill. Shipped on a pallet to California. Grill arrived and appeared well packed. Once I opened it, it was obvious that my grill was not in an unopened brand new grill, but possibly an unused return. All the accessory boxes had been opened. Screws were falling out of the grill causing a loose piece of metal to bang around inside causing scratches. I live less than 100 miles from BBQ Guys, but still. I ordered some charcoal and charcoal starters, a very small order dollar-wise, and it was at my door in less than 24 hours. AT MY DOOR! I have an expensive item ordered with another website, not BBQ related, that still hasn't shipped 48 hours later
I chatted with an "expert" on their website and determined to order a Weber Genesis 2 grill. In the chat I was told that I would have the grill in 5 days. To sweeten the pot and get me to place the order they offered some free Wagyu hamburgers. All seemed good so I placed the order. The next day I was informed that my order would not ship on time as promised, so I checked back with them to see why. They said that the Wagyu burgers were not able to ship. What??? In stock item was actually out of stock and took over 3 months to delever. Never got a clear answer on when I would get my order and no notification of the delivery of the 386 pound item. It arrived completely unexpected. In my experience once they have your money their job is done. No communication and no follow up on my purchase. No way to leave a reveiw on their site so you only see what they want you to see. Last time doeing business with this far below par outfit.
Still waiting to receive an order I placed an order for a barbecue on May 22, 2023 hoping to have it for a family get together on July 4th. When I ordered it it said it would ship in 24-48 hours. It did say that sometimes it may be a little longer for turnaround. 2 weeks later I checked the website and it said that the grill was on back order but it would ship by June 30th.
