I used legal zoom to do a quick deed transfer and they sent it over to godeeds. This has by far been the worst experience godeeds ignores calls and emails, and legal zoom says theres nothing they can do.I called godeeds ten times with no return call, I finally emailed and got a few replies and now its been another 12 days with three unanswered emails. I closed a business in 2021 and they won't let me close my account with them. I have called the Secretary of State and the ********************* and closed everything myself but LegalZoom tells me that I need to spend $700+ to have them close out my accounts... but there's nothing to close! And they've been billing me $300/year since 2021 for nothing. Infuriating; I will sort it out but would strongly discourage doing business with them!

Looks like I have the same issue as everyone else. Cannot be refunded $199 for Annual Filing Fee Which I had no Idea I had even subscribed to. What a c*** company taking peoples money like that without their knowledge. **************** was Zero Help Steer Clear at all costs

i have canceled and switched my business to another company and for last two years are still being charged by Legal Zoom for a service which i do not require from them, I provided all the documentation they asked for and still was charged. **************** is far below par and legal action has been started against this company, I was notified of the charges until i was checking my bank statement as they slid the charge in and after speaking with customer service, all they could say they cant help me in any way. I signed up online with Legal Zoom to start up a new small business in ******* at the beginning of July 2024. It took several phone calls to finally get the them to complete the process. The business was finally established on 23rd August 2025. This was the only service I required from Legal Zoom, as I had experience setting up a business in the past and filed all required forms directly once established. Only one star because no stars is not an option. Legal Zoom is a complete scam! My father had used Legal Zoom to set up several ***s. He now has dementia, cannot advocate for himself. Most of ***s have been administratively dissolved for the most part. I cancelled all of his subscriptions, but missed one *** that is still active.. After I requested a cancellation on today on 8/30/25 after noticing Legal Zoom charge me for 6 months in a dishonest way. I had cancelled back in 7/30/24 which they actually confirmed by email, now all of the sudden I'm charged again without even receiving an email confirmation. I paid LegalZoom for a full LLC formation package that included setting up my business and obtaining an EIN. They only completed part of the services I paid for. I contacted customer service multiple times, and each time they told me it would be fixed. But they never followed through and eventually stopped responding altogether.Its now been over two years, and Ive never received the full services I paid for. Trying to cancel services has taken well over 14 months to do. Ive made 4 calls and nothing has changed. To date- I have not received a refund of charges to my account in July of 2025 for a service I canceled in 2024. I tried to file a formal complaint during my most recent call- I was told Ill let corporate know. *** never know a company to not have a formal grievance process. This service was expensive and I did not see the benefit of having it, everything that was offered I could do through the state for free.
