I'm disappointed in the tax managers at LegalZoom (LZ) in **** and their empty promises, mistakes, and discourtesy. They told me they would hopefully have our LLC taxes done within one week. Don't waste your money when it comes to getting a DBA. We hired them to file a *** for us in September 2024. On March 21, 2025 we demanded our money back because they never got the *** for us. They admitted that they had filed the exact same paperwork with our local county THREE DIFFERENT TIMES and it had been rejected three different times. At the end of March 2025, we googled how to get the *** and took the paperwork ourselves to the courthouse and had our DBA WITHIN A WEEK! I set up an LLC late in 2023. In their fine print was a $29 per month service through a subsidiary (Earth Class Mail). I dont know what this service is, I never once used it, but after looking through my CC statements i have been charged $29 per month for 1.5 years that i never knew of. I reached out to legalzoom and they said i had to go through earth class mail to be refunded. After canceling all services, I am STILL being charged monthly and had to put a block on from my CC. Just used Legal Zoom to create an LLC - Was Immediately contacted by an overseas company that tried to pressure us to buy a bunch of upgrades for an additional $200 dollars.... Didn't want to take no for an answer. The things they were pressuring us to buy were things we had just paid for....like ****************** Extremely unprofessional - I would not recommend this company at all. I paid LegalZoom for an expedited LLC filing service, but the process has been anything but fast or reliable. Despite being told twice that my filing was complete, I was later informed of unresolved issues that have delayed the formation. I called to ****** my subscription in 2024. Since i already paid they couldn't refund my money. Told the agent ok. She proceeded to tell me that she could cancel my subscription and I would not have this problem moving forward. 2025 Legal Zoom took another $299 from me again. I called and complained about the same issue they gave me the same answer except the his time they sent me an email confirmation. This is just bad business.

I Googled "file an LLC" and Legal Zoom was the top result, so I went with it. I just needed to file an LLC, which is $50. My credit cards are set to alert me if there is an expense over $100. But instead... Legal Zoom charged me twice each month, approximately $49 and $55. So.... unbeknownst to me, I've paid over $14k to Legal Zoom since this broke solopreneur used Legal Zoom to file an LLC.Criminal. Legalzoom told me my business was dissolved last year. They took care of all the paperwork which I had to pay extra for on top of filing fees for my business. I paid over $600 in legalzoom fees plus state fees only to find out they didn't do something correctly. They blamed me for being unresponsive when I have email correspondence showing otherwise. I would like legalzoom to handle to situation and correct their mistake. They need to properly dissolve my business and cover all fees since I already paid everything last year.
