I placed an order with LegalZoom to close my business and assumed the process would be handled from there. However, when I went to file my taxes, I discovered the business had never been closed. I contacted LegalZoom for a refund, but was informed that I was outside their 60-day refund window. While I fully understand and respect their policy, I believe it's unreasonable to deny a refund when the failure was due to their lack of **************** no point did LegalZoom notify me that additional information was needed or that ... read more

We purchased the business plan which is supposed to include e-signature but almost every time I want to use it, I cannot access (the system offers to upsell me something that I have already paid) and then it is hours with support! Total waste of time. They are only interested in upselling but not in delivering what you have paid for. STAY AWAY

They got me for $398 for services they did not provide. I felt safe using Legal Zoom, I even heard good things. However, if you try to cancel services they charge you anyways and do not refund you. This is a California company and to my knowledge, charging someone for services that are not rendered is illegal in **********. Just another large $1.68B company taking advantage of small business owners. The customer service is poor like most big companies nowadays. just a slow online chat. NO RESOLUTION. Always some Supervisor t... read more

More like Legal Doom!More like Legal Doom!Do not get suckered into this company. They are an ******* organization that will not handle the most important documents in your life with any sort of care or respect. I trusted them in 2011 to get my end of ************* directives together. At that time these were not ever digitized & I seriously doubt that they ever were. I distinctly recall mailing back all the documents in triplicate copies! The entire reason we selected them to begin with is because they guaranteed that they w... read more

Beware of predatory practices. A year ago (June 2024) we used Legal Zoom to set up a will, and power of attorney. We paid $399 for the service. We knew we could only make change for up to 1 year without paying more. But we were happy with what we'd done. We were just billed $199 a a subscription that was tacked on to our account. I called today (the day it was billed) to cancel and ask for a refund and it was refused. They confirmed that I hadn't logged on in the past year, but when it's billed they don't refund regardless o... read more

I formed my LLC through Legalzoom and signed up for a ************************* My ************************ was renewed at $499, which is absolutely ridiculous. I just changed it to another service (doing the same exact thing) at $125, and there are many services offering it at around that price. The fact that I feel bait-and-switched into my registered agent service based on the way they presented the payment for the first year, and the fact that they are making it so difficult to change feels dishonest and malicious.

Don't pay for the expedited service if you use Legal Zoom. On the website my paperwork showed as filed the same day but 11 business days later they said my company name was too similar to one already registered. I had previously checked the state site but given the different business structure, area of expertise and the fact the other company was registered in ** (I'm on the east cost), I thought it was ok. So LZ doesn't even check the database and ask for name options in case of a duplicate, that came from the state, 11 bus... read more

LegalZoom renewed two services for my business that were no longer in use. I did not request these renewals. I contacted their support team and requested a refund. The request was denied. No refund was issued.

Unable to complete my two LLC documents within their time frame (currently 6 weeks overdue). I messaged them weekly from April through this week and no one was able to escalate my problem until I reached out and was very frustrated, then finally I got the documents I needed. 100% would not use them for filing what you need. ****** out how to do it on your own and don't use them. It is a massive waste of money and time.
