Home River Group relies on a total lack of communication between the ****** and leasee in order to pressure its potential renters into shady lease agreements with a multitude of additional charges and little recourse in the event of power abuse on the part of the management group written into the lease agreements. Not to mention blatant false advertising.
Company will force you to get your own renters insurance then charge you for renters insurance through a "Benefits package" that doesn't benefit the tenant at all. It only increase the amount of money this company makes. IT's a joke and Home River Group employees do not return phone calls or emails when asked questions.
Unprofessional and unreliable. We started a lease with a different company and then the owner of the home switched to Homeriver group. When Homeriver group took over they said "same rules apply" and I assumed (because they told me) that they had the documents from the previous company as it hadn't been a year yet. We had a "credit fee" which we paid with the first company and have paperwork documenting it. Which all deposits got paid to the owner of the house through a 3rd party LLC. Yeah, go UT. f I could rate 0 Stars, I would! This company is the WORST that I have ever dealt with! & I have dealt with quite a few within the last few years! Home River Group employees are Extremely Unprofessional and Inconsiderate of their tenants and they are ALL SCAMMERS! My husband and I were switched over to this company from Alabama Rental Managers! Renting from HomeRiver Group has been a nightmare. Zero stars. This has been a horrible renting experience. The most unprofessional business I have ever worked with. Per my lease the landlord is to cover water charges due to it being an old house and a duplex- I have paid $903 in water- for my side and the other. Wish they have no start this company is a big scam I looked at all this tenants having same problem. I moved to a house in **** ******* ** Dayton ohio last November 2022 since December I didn’t stop complaining about mold smell I have to pay from my own money to prove it this company is a joke they send a contractor with no material to detect mold some off them say they smell mold in my house but in the report is another story I’have to take them to court to break my lease. We did a group application. My younger brother and his wife are just starting out and have no credit. My husband and I have good credit (his is over 750 and mine is over 640) I explained the situation to one of the property people and was told that we would be ok and should be accepted as long as ONE person met the criteria. Moments later we were denied. Horrible! I took screenshots and feel very lied to and scammed. Dont apply!
My credit score met the requirement. My income was suffice. Was denied because of land lord verification, which I hadnt had a lease in 8-9 years when I was in college. In fact, the complex that was supposedly contacted has been managed by 2 different groups since I left and they no longer have files on tenants when I was there.
