I started to set-up an account as a caregiver. They asked for my credit card info and stated that my card would not be charged until my background check was complete. They asked for my social security number and so I went to check out reviews before completing it. I decided to not follow-through after seeing all the awful reviews. How is it legal to be charged for a service that has been cancelled? They sign you up for a reoccurring payments every 3 months and when you cancel, they still charge you for 3 months in advance. Very unprofessional, unhelpful and not transparent about the fees. When I paid for the 3 months I made sure I didn't sign up for reoccurring payments and read the fine print. Do yourself a favor and go with any of the other sites for childcare services. Care.com has the absolute worst customer service around. To make matters worse, you will not get what you pay for. Very apathetic, faceless company.

Avoid Care.com. Was charged $78 every 3 months for over a year AFTER cancelling. I never received a single email or notification that I was still being charged. They have a no refund policy so they are basically set up to sneak in auto payments until you catch on.
You are completely and entirely unable to cancel. They make in impossible to find any information how to. I googled Their customer service number, which wasnt exactly easy to find, and a recording came on of how you can solve the problem by visiting their siteyoull go around in circles and continue being charged. Absolutely horrible.
I paid for a full year of premium membership out of my own pocket. They canceled my membership because my work canceled their own contract. This is nothing short of theft. They will not turn my premium account back on and they have not refunded me. Thieves.
I signed up for an account and later cancelled it via the Apple App Store. Over a year later I was still being charged on an account that was set up via the App Store (completely different than an account and username I used 7 years ago direct through Care.com).They refuse to refund any money and never sent renewal notices. I signed up for a three month membership to find a nanny. I was placed on auto renew and charged numerous additional times without notifying me. The website doesnt allow you to delete your credit card and customer service hasnt responded. Their phone hangs up on you and their chat doesnt have people available. Id like all my auto renew payments reversed. Shame on this company.
