We've been a member of Care.com for awhile now, no issues, paid for the full year because my husbands employer reimburses employee's for using the site. Well, I log in, and change the account email, verify account email, no issue, then almost immediately I get an email saying our profile didn't meet the guidelines, when it did and then ANOTHER email saying our account was terminated and member removed from site. Trust the reviews below. I just burned trying to use care.com, and care.com and care.com offers no resolution -- no refunds, no customer service, no support. Everything the reviews say below about them is true.
HORRIBLE>. Run far from Care.com. I had set up an interview with one of their caretakers, she didn't show up. I left a very basic review saying she didn't show up for her interview and didn't respond to any follow up messages asking what had happened. We had changed our schedules for this woman, and we were disappointed she didn't have the courtesy of letting us know. In 2018, I had a very brief membership with Care.Com. The other night, I was on my phone and a pop-up came from the company. I had not thought of them in years and clicked to enter their website. I immediate saw that they still had an active profile for me, though I had not been a member in years. I clicked on that and briefly looked through it before leaving the site. I needed to find a caregiver for an elderly man with dementia and I thought I'd give Care.com a try. Huge waste of my time. After signing up you have to pay ridiculously high prices just to find/message someone. Once I got everything finished the very next day I received an email saying my account had been closed for inaccurate or incorrect information. This business is a scam. They will continue billing you even if you only pick the one month membership. You wont be able to cancel. Will never use again.
This business is a scam. You can browse their site and see all of these people who are available to hire. You must then pay to be able to contact them. I did just that. I then reached out to a number of people over the course of a couple weeks in search of a housekeeper. More than 1/2 the people never responded and those who did were not accepting new clients (even though their profile said they were). I used this service for less than a month and then clicked the "downgrade to free account" button. They continued to **** me for 3 months and won't remediate the problem. They don't seem to understand that their technology has a bug and that they are making their users pay for their problem.
Wish I could give 0 stars. TERRIBLE. I was getting charged for an account I never signed up for. I emailed multiple time and never hear back. I then replied to their instagram post and they said to DM on ********* I did that and still no reply. SCAM. They will steal your money from you.
