Care.com makes it very hard to contact anyone when you have a problem with your account. And they will never give you a refund. My account got hacked and they canceled my account. No explanation. No way to reach anyone for help. I got charged for a whole year and did not get any refund or any assistance whatsoever. Truly terrible company. Do not trust!
I became a member for care.com several weeks ago. Although I did not have the paid membership, I would just browse casually for caregivers. However, today I decided to pay 38 dollars for the one month membership so that I can message some of the caregivers. Several hours after paying for the membership, my account was closed. I am so annoyed and disappointed. DO NOT TRUST CARE.COM. This is a scam and the fact that they have no customer service representative is even more daunting.
Do not use care.com. I could not find a single provider who was available for work. They also make it difficult to cancel. It's just an all around awful experience.
No one would even return my inquiry. Bank stated "the transaction was processed according to the information you provided or was authorized." BS.
Care.com unlawfully charged my credit card and refuses to provide a refund concerning the credit fraud they have committed. A family requested a background check which they can pull for free as they were a premium member. Care assured me in the request notification that this would be done at no charge to me but my acceptance of the request charged my card (without any kind of authorization). Incorrectly charged my family for months when we cancelled our account 6 months prior. When in contact with the care team, they were cold and calculated in their response and issued no apology or refund whatsoever. Will NEVER use this website again and I strongly advise to stay far away. Very shady service.
Free membership is worthless. You can only contact service providers with a paid membership and they probably take a large cut of what you pay those folks. You are better off on your own.
Felt very deceptive. NOT the worker who answered the ad, she was great, but substantially more expensive than it said on the website. Very unfortunate in this case because this specific worker seemed great.CARE.COM feels deceptive. The website was difficult to maneuver. You have to have a paid subscription that allows NO REFUNDS in order to even contact any of the workers, so you don't know the real rate until AFTER you pay. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Tried all morning with their chat and my chats are closed.Tried to cancel with them and requested refund on my credit card that I did not authorize this charge of $165.66
