I had a care.com profile hoping to get jobs through that website..I paid for the background check and also the *** check for a total of $59. Everything came back clean, except I couldnt get into the *** background page that they sent me. I can no longer get into my profile and Ive tried calling and emailing them with no response back. My email has been erased from their system because it no longer recognizes my email when I try logging in. So disappointed in the customer service with this company. My concern is that I did not realize I was being billed quarterly by care.com, which is VERY easy to not be aware of, and I see very similar stories in reading other reviews. Extremely deceitful company. Huge lack of transparency for the usable features of their website without a premium subscription and also enormous hidden fees if you do explore upgrading your subscription.
Care.com is trash. DO NOT sign up!! 1) even with your $40 monthly, you so have to pay extra for background checks 2) when downgrading, double and triple check. I've downgraded and took screenshots of my downgrade and was still charged $40 for another 2x months! Before you ask, no, they refuse to refund me Just don't do it. It's not worth it. 90% of the people you'll find haven't been hired for a job through the app which means no rating/ feedback and again, no background check. Care.com is a such a fraud. I contacted the company within 24 hours for refund of the option I chose, since I realized after completing ALL the info that I didn't have enough hours. There is no contact number to speak with an actual person. There is only a generic email auto reply that doesn't actually answer a specific question - just reiterates there are no refunds, NO MATTER WHAT. This should be investigated further - how is this legal? Will never use Care.com and would seek another forum to find Care for my own children.... read more
I found a nanny 6 years ago easily with a background check. We decided to look again, however after signing up and writing the job description an hour later, realized the minimal hours we were offering were not enough. I opted for the one month subscription plan to find some different help. Everyone I felt comfortable contacting said they didnt have availability. So, I basically paid for nothing. Would not recommend their service at all.
After requesting email responses only for senior caregiver options, I received half a dozen phone calls from senior care providers.
