This is a great platform. My only complaint is that there are accounts on it that havent been active in a very long time. It would be good for care.com to flush out their users/contacts a few times a year. Knowing your profile will disappear if you dont use - sending notices to users this will occur - would actually engage users and help them keep their information and availability current. Id also love to see care.com partner with colleges and CNA and nursing schools.
I use Care.com through my employer. They are great! If you don't find care via a care giver you can choose to find/use your pre-established care giver and receive reimbursement. Their reimbursement process is easy and fast!! As a military family we have also used care.com in many cities and it is a reliable way to find care givers to interview when trying to reestablish child care in a new town.
I mean Ive only used this company twice and one was crappy as all get out and the other was absolutely wonderful. I would give it another shot. But idk. All in all its an ok site to find someone but wouldnt sign up with them forever. Mediocre customer service. The caregivers are the not so great part but thats not care.coms fault.
For the most part Ive had positive experiences with Care.com. I had one caregiver who never showed up and didnt return calls.
Care.com was very helpful finding care giver for my elderly mother. *******.com is extremely beneficial handling payroll and tax reporting and payments. There is a fee, but it is worth it to have taxes done correctly.
I recently signed up as a babysitter for children & also for pet care & I'm very happy with the service as a sitter. As soon as my profile was up I got many inquiries from parents looking to hire me. In just 10 days I have completed 3 babysitting jobs & have done a few ************* & phone calls for future sitting opportunities. A sitter can work as much or as little as they want to. This agency was responsive and sent helpful home health aids. Their fees seemed quite high.
While Care.com is not free, the fee covers a host of checks and balances that have helped me procure more professional experiences. Sure the every once in awhile scam artist creeps through but Care is super supportive at removing them from the site. I have used this site for over 3 years and found brilliant workers. I'm especially fond of the USA gymnastics team coach who worked with me between meets. She, ****** in ****** does backflips for you! It doesn't get much better than that!!
I am pleased to have found this service. We have two friendly but active dogs and were able to find sitters that fit our needs.
