I tried to cancel my membership on care.com immediately after signing up because I do not want to be auto-charged. I thought I did this but I was still auto-charged 3 months after my initial subscription for nearly $150. I called 3 days later asking them to cancel and they said no refunds. I can't begin to tell you how horrible the customer service is! They charged my account after I cancelled, then after receiving a refund (had to get my bank to do it because they never responded to emails!) they again charged my account after they had cancelled my account. I caught the charges 4 months later and requested a refund from their care customer service only to receive an auto reply that this email was no longer being monitored. Care.com is in no position to judge!I had been on Care.com for over 10 years! Im so disappointed that a family that I worked for made allegations against me. I received an email about being not welcome to work with their company anymore, but I dont even get a chance to give more information from my side. Based on the news lately about them keeping money from employees, they are the absolute last people that should be judging others!
This company deactivated my account after changing my name on the website after getting married. According to their terms, changing a name will have your account deactivated, so Im not sure why they even allow name changes on the website to begin with. They charged me minutes after the account deactivation for a full year of subscription fees ($350 worth) and refuse to give me back my money even though I cant use the website. This is theft. Stay far away from care.com
Sneaky automatic renewal and won't let you cancel, even if you haven't used the service in years. AVOID AVOID AVOID!
This is not a company, this is a shell company for fraud activities who has and continues to make excuses for going out of their way to access customers accounts to charge in ways that makes it impossible to cancel services. I purchased a premium membership and lo and behold, when I attempted to cancel, the actual login was inoperable, which is the only way to cancel an account- to login. Care.com has illegally charged over $2,000 dollars to my credit card. I cancelled my account years ago and I don't even have an account to log into to cancel the account. I've changed my credit card number and they still manage to take recurring charges. I've tried using the chat/contact us on their website to no avail. I know there has been an FTC ruling, but someone should be put in jail for this if it's a widespread issue.
I've tried to cancel several times. Company keeps charging me. Don't give him your credit card information. They'll keep charging even after you cancel on their website. Read the other reviews.
Scam . I paid $ ****** when I was desperate to find someone to transport my 81 year old mother in law to doctor appt. I got no service or help. It is sad that this company preys on families and the elderly. All I kept getting was more emails asking me for more money , which thankfully I did not. I gave it 1 star because there was no option to leave no stars.
