I contacted Care.com and paid for one month of service...I plugged in all of the information so that I could get a list of care givers. ..the responses that I recieved were...."sorry but you live to far away" or I didn't get a response at all. I'm requesting a full refund. I would suggest that you ask the people that are applying to work, how many miles they are willing to travel!!!
Fir 6 years I've have had no problems. Until now. I have five 5 star reviews but can't access them. I reached out to Care.com but didn't get a response.
I was charged $77.97 for quarterly membership when it said the fee would be $25.99. I want to cancel and get reimbursed. It has been less than 24 hours. Please refund my money. This is bad business practice on your part.
I find Care.com's business practices to be very deceptive. Like many on-line services, there is a subscription fee that will renew over time. There is no email or in-app notification that your subscription is about to auto-renew. Funds are just deducted from your account. It is the responsibility of the end-user to REMEMBER when their subscription will renew. Care.com is inflexible with their policy on no refunds on subscription fees. Should be investigated as a criminal organization. The recurring charges are ridiculous and they make it nearly impossible to cancel. They were even able to continue to charge after I cancelled the card. How is that even possible? Avoid care.com at all costs.
Ripped off today. 3 requests to cancel everything. Its not a one step process. Still have no confirmation of final cancellation.
Care.com is a scam company that is backed by lots of money with which no regular citizen can afford to compete in the legal arena. They do not care about me and they took my money. I saw tutors for my daughter on a Friday afternoon-some reasonable prices. The website encouraged me to click on one and reach out. The next page asked to pay to join. The fee was $38 so I thought it sounded reasonable. I put my information in and the next screen wanted $79 for a background check. Ive been trying to cancel and delete my account. Ive tried every tip they provide. but none of them work. I tried to do it on my computer, but it takes me to a link to download the app on my phone. I cant find a phone number for customer service. Nothing works! I have a basic account, not a premium account.
