I've had a profile on Care.com since 2014 and I'm watching them go downhill. It is as though they have only three people working out the problems on their website. Care.com charges caregivers a fee in order to complete a care check background check however they do nothing to ensure the safety of their caregivers by doing any type of checks on the people seeking care services. Care.com also allows any and everyone to come on their site to post a review irregardless of what the actual situation is. You can decline a job because you can't agree to terms and someone can go on care.com and write a bad review saying they hired you and you "no-showed/no-called." TOTAL SCAM!! Signed up and paid my money; THEN I read the reviews! What a DUMB?!?, Cancelled within 15 minutes, received email confirming cancellation, but cant get a refund. Again this is my fault. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this company.

False advertisement on cost. The annual membership says "12/mo" and the payment link leads you to enter your card information with a minimized drop down menu that is easy to miss. They proceed to charge you >$150. Ridiculous.

My account has been inactive for over a year, yet I was charged a membership renewal fee this morning. I immediately contacted them within 1hr of being charged and asked why I was charged a membership fee when my account has been closed for the past year. I was told closing the account doesn't end your subscription. I find this odd considering if a member has deactivated their account before the next billing period, such as I did, then there is no longer an active account for the company to be providing services to. They denied me a refund on an auto-renewal. I didn't use their services and was unaware I had a subscription. However, denying a refund the day after a renewal is paid is bad business. Additionally, they do not email you to remind you that a renewal date is coming. THIS IS BAD BUSINESS. Use other nanny/babysitting sites. Unfortunately, this service and platform are very disfunctional. It's complicated, antiquated, and so very user unfriendly! Often times days and times are not accurate only because of this cumbersome platform.
