They do not care about me and they took my money. I saw tutors for my daughter on a Friday afternoon-some reasonable prices. The website encouraged me to click on one and reach out. The next page asked to pay to join. The fee was $38 so I thought it sounded reasonable. I put my information in and the next screen wanted $79 for a background check. Ive been trying to cancel and delete my account. Ive tried every tip they provide. but none of them work. I tried to do it on my computer, but it takes me to a link to download the app on my phone. I cant find a phone number for customer service. Nothing works! I have a basic account, not a premium account.
Predatory and cannot wait until they are replaced. Impossible to communicate with caregivers unless you subscribe to premium, does not list your subscription end date but DOES auto renew you with a clear no refund for any unused portion. Cannot delete YOUR credit card information until you give them another. No easy to locate customer service line - safety issues!!! Less than a start deserved. They are shameful and classless.
when I logged in (don't even remember opening an account) there was a name associated with the account that was not my name, but no problem for them because they sure took my money! I was looking for a house cleaner in a short window of time. I wrote to at least 6 house cleaners but within 2 days, I heard nothing. There needs to be a negative review # for this scam company.They charged me without my agreement to charge, i fought the $89 charge with my credit card but the con's that they are, they showed my credit card company some sort of made up IT data, so i was stuck with being robbed by them. When i requested a refund, their ibot refused, was not helpful, nor was their support email, or phone person. Care.com is a scam. A family that treated me horribly and didnt pay me and I couldnt leave a review about them. That actually happened many times. Also, they take your money and wont send your messages with your phone number, most times. They have terrible customer service, never answers the phone, wont help you with Concerns that are their responsibility according to their website. Absolutely horrific customer service. Continued to charge me after I cancelled my account and refuses to credit it back because it is not their "policy" to offer any credits! THIEVES!
If I could give care.com ZERO stars, I would! Parents and caregivers beware! Used care religiously for most of my work in the 14 years of being a nanny. Never had any issues, and even paid when they started to make you pay for your profile because I loved them. Recently I needed a new job, so I signed up for care. Got my profile approved, followed THEIR little questions to set up my profile instead of write my own, set up my availability and even paid for the care check for $4.99 and started my free month of paying monthly. ... read more
I am deeply disappointed with Care.com. I've been using it for 10 years, since I was 18, and it's clear to me that the platform has become ****** focused on profit. They have introduced a paywall for families to simply see messages from caregivers, which didn't exist before. Additionally, nannies now have to pay to even use their accounts, which is unreasonable considering many job seekers are not in a financial position to afford this upfront.
