CRAZY expensive and impossible to cancel - BE AWARE. BEWARE.The service itself is pretty good, in theory. I have been a member in the past, too, and years ago when I was first a member I had much better luck using the service to find people to assist in the categories I selected. This time it wasn't a great tool as only two or three people responded. One set a date/time to come and then was a no show. Do not sign up for this. It is a SCAM. I paid for a one month subscription and then I cancelled it. they have been charging me $38.95/month for 12 months. My bank can't do anything about it and there is no number to call unless you pay MORE money for a premium subscription. Wish I could leave ZERO STARS.
Care.com has deceiving and fraudulent practices!! When one attempts to use the service as a consumer, the website is set up to make you believe that you have to have a "premium Membership." They then give you the option of month by month payment or annual upfront. However, they charged me two unauthorized separate amounts of $194.85 and $140.07 on the same day!! I am housekeeper for 25 years ready to retire soon ,I had used care.com about 15 years ago when it was free and you could write post about your service.No job ever worked out as the would be clients never really were interested in hiring as the same with Home Advisor .That what happens when the would be clients do not need to pay for their posts looking for services but workers looking for leads do. No caregivers respond. Waste of money. The one who did responded at 1am from **********. We live in ***********. We used the site for less than a week and are not getting refunded for the 3 months we paid in advance. DO NOT USE THIS SITE. WE HAD AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE! Instead reach out to your schools parent group. We have found 3 sitters today.
I signed up for care.com as an employee. By law we should for the safety of our caregivers have a company go out and investigate to make sure the client is safe to work with, and was not crazy. As a company, it is your responsibility to make sure your employees are safe all the time, or do the best that you can, care.com did not provide that at all. They did not even investigate they just deactivated my account without even asking me what happened. Very bad company to work with.
Needed to use this once. Signed up and it did give us options. Tried canceling service after never using it and then noticed we were still being billed (months later). When you try to cancel, you cant even login to their site. They make you go to your credit card statement to find the phone number to call. What good business makes you find their contact number on your credit card statement only?! I would avoid this as they make things really difficult for the user unfortunately.
Care.com subscription pricing is presented in a misleading way, and once you sign up they refuse to offer any refunds. They offered a $12.95 monthly option vs $24.95 quarterly option - but the $24.95 quarterly means you pay $24.95 each month for a quarter. The first time they showed the actual $80 total for which I would be billed was AFTER the transaction was processed, meaning it was too late to back out. I would recommend avoiding care.com for its deceptive billing practices.
I was looking for a ****** for my family. I paid care.com ******. I never was able to use the service as they said my account was closed without explanation. I emailed, called, no response. This is not the first time this has happened with them. They took my money, and did not provide the service. This is unprofessional and unacceptable.
