The house and pet sitter was hardly here. Very dissatisfied. In error I gave ************ a good review , until I heard from several neighbors that she stopped by, but never stayed the night as agreed upon when we hired her!

Absolutely awful. While I appreciate the service, I am appalled at the fact I left a review for someone I hired stating that she stole from my child ($400) and the multiple concerns I had and the review was not posted. When I sent the concern to care.com I also never received feedback. I cannot believe it.. I'm literally left speechless..

I paid for the trial period as I thought I would need care for my mom after surgery. However, I didn't end up needing it. I viewed my credit card charges online and noticed a 3-month bill from care.com that was pending. I immediately called them and asked that they remove the credit card they had on file and cancel the service. They told me they could not remove the pending charge as I had to cancel before it was sent to my credit card. I asked for a supervisor and was told that one would reach out. I received an email sayin... read more

I found a caregiver for my elderly mother-in-law through Care.com. She did take good care of her, but she was unreliable. She cancelled twice for what may have been legitimate reasons, but then didnt show up at all after that and couldnt be reached. I submitted a fair review stating both the positive and negative information, and Care.com never posted it. When I contacted them, they claimed it was a problem with their website that was being addressed, but the review was never posted! So if you see only 5 star reviews, its be... read more

Basic (unpaid) membership is essentially useless, since you are unable to contact any of the caregivers listed, but this is not up-front information, and paid membership is very expensive. Even with the paid membership, navigating the site to do simple tasks is cumbersome, frequently funneling you into the long, modular of posting a job instead of allowing you to directly navigate to simple features. Generally the site is difficult to use and is cagey and obfuscating about finding basic information in favor of an uncluttered... read more

I canceled my membership after two days of using it and I was charged for an entire year. $239.40! When I signed up it said month to month and you could cancel at anytime. Im unable to find any resources online to chat with anyone. Horrible experience.

Expensive and cumbersome payment process. Premium subscription doesn't seem to really get you anything. The sitters I did use through care.com were all good, except for the first one where, during the peak of the covid pandemic, I found out that she wasn't vaccinated when she arrived at my house. Thankfully, she was professional and wore a mask as requested.

I have mixed feelings about this service. Last year I was able to find a reliable person but their situation changed which required that I find a new caregiver. I've reached out to over a dozen caregivers on their website who are listed as available. Half of them told me they weren't available and the other half never bothered to respond. I'm not sure what I paid for but it has been of no help.

I was able to hire several in-home caregivers through the site, so it does achieve it's basic goal of facilitating that sort of thing. But all in all, it's an atrociously bad website. It is slow, it is unintuitive, the site modifies (or even removes) your messages based on criteria that are impossible to find out (Examples: you cannot send a phone number in the first 2 or 3 DMs, but you can afterwards; if you put any words that a particularly bad AI might thing are private information in the job description it will simply de... read more
