Won't let you reply to messages from applicants interested in your babysitting job you posted, you can't even read the messages for split second until the screen blurs out and ask you to upgrade for lots of money, but I was able to see the messages and they are all fake robo say the same thing they're not real people, they just make it look that way so you'll give them your credit card number.
Besides being expensive, I posted a negative review of a sitter and Care.com didn't publish it. They told me they were behind with some updates that kept it from being posted. I think that's untrue because a positive review posted right away.So I paid this girl $20 per hour to sit on my couch while someone else kept my daughter company and other families will hire her without knowing this info. What if she was watching a toddler who gets into something dangerous?They seem to only "care" about money
This is a horrible company. You cannot reach them (obviously out of the country) and if you do, they are not kind. We called to find our caregiver who was unreachable, we were afraid the caregiver was injured as that had never happened before, always reliable and reachable. I had paid for background check and everything over $100 and have been on that site as a nanny for almost a year. I had a five star review from a parent and all of a sudden I got my profile closed down and was no longer allowed to log in. Reason being is because I submitted I wanted to offer housekeeping services after saying my husband and I would offer it on my page. The Care.com app offered a Premium membership that it presented would be $12.99/month and that I could cancel at anytime. I did cancel one minute after I signed up, but discovered I had been charged the entire 12 months. The Care manager offered a one month membership, however, she is still trying to charge an amount equivalent to three months.
I never even got a chance to use the service. My company offers Care.com to their employees as a benefit, so I signed up using my work email for the paid service that my company covers. I tried to login and failed, so I tried the "Forgot Password" and never received the reset password email. My next action was to contact customer service. This company is a joke! You cannot reach them by phone, you have to leave a message and wait for them to call back. They sent me "leads" that did not match what I have to offer (extended hours, special needs care, school age care, after school care) that I still had to pay for. When I asked for an explanation of charges on my invoice, I was told how long the billing cycle is and what day they sent my last invoice. I wasted 2 months trying to find a nanny just to be ghosted or stood up by everyone I found. No nanny has ever showed up to help, they usually cancel the day before or the morning of the time they are scheduled. I'm wondering if this whole site is a scam.
