Care.com is not a good service, no one should use it, the way they do the background checks is going to fail, they only use the first name, last name and DOB which will always bring innacurate results. They customer services is pretty much non existent and if you want to cancel your account they make it really hard. I highly discourage anyone wanting to use their services to NOT USE THEM!!!

Make it difficult to cancel, difficult to contact to rectify anything and refuse to give any refunds for their exorbitant fees they charge for the mere ability to view and respond to messages. Disgusting business practices.

Care.com is the worst website to try and sign in to and change your information and/or get customer service help. The only way you can even get a phone number to call them is to upgrade to a premium membership. You can't even chat with a bot if you don't have an account. I can't even find where to change from a family looking for a caregiver to being a caregiver. I want to list a profile about my caregiving experiences but it's only asking me about what my family is looking for. I had to submit 6 times that I forgot my passw... read more

*************** who hides behind their terms of service. I accidentally purchased a year long subscription, and noticed after a few days. **************** rep and supervisor all day same thing "no refunds". Can't even make an exception. THREE DAYS! I know for a fact they could very very easily prorate charge me for their minimum sub, with that fee, and refund the rest. But why would they?? On September 28th the website canceled my membership without any reason.On the phone I got no further information in detail and had to wait two days to receive an email again with no detailed information.I requested the reimbursement of $18.99 that I was charged in July 2023 and $4.99 on September 28th that I was forced into as the website mentioned that I should sign up for premium membership if I wanted to keep access with limited features. Beware of Care.com ! I simply went online, and put my information in (that I was "looking:" for a caregiver), and the website showed me some choices., But then it wanted me to purchase a plan (monthly or annual), and I did not want to, so I exited the Care.com site. Because my mother had (1.5 years ago, and without my knowledge), tried to open an account, and had given them her credit card, somehow, they linked that old transaction to my name . Care.com messed up my very first booking. Told me that the booking was cancelled (though I hadn't) and I was on my own to pay the sitter (which I did via Venmo). They charged me two weeks later inexplicably and then we're like, we can't refund next time you pay a sitter through another way....it was their issue and they had no desire to resolve the issue when it occurred. Glitches and poor customer support.

What a scam. They make it impossible to cancel a subscription and continue to charge you for months. You cant cancel the subscription from your account, it automatically logs you out (if you can even find where to cancel). Then you cant get any billing **** number, they say you have to get it from your billing statement but I never got any billing statement, nor is there one available in your account. I had to get my bank to do a stop payment and the bank is how I got the billing **** phone number. CARE.coms website and help... read more
