Care.com closed my account in error and I lost all of my reviews and contacts that Ive built up over the past 10 years. There bus Ness use to be run well, but now they have no way of contacting anyone to correct and reverse their error.
I signed up for Care.com and realized the same day that the services would not work for me as i needed to bring my child to a sitter and not have one come to my home. I canceled my services while speaking to the Cre.com team. The company unbeknownst to me has continued to draft my account every month. I tried to cancel the account last month. I had to press the cancel button a couple times but it finally refreshed and I thought all was good. I got charged again today. I went back into my account to ensure my membership was cancelled. It was not. I tried again to cancel and I got a similar occurrence where the cancelation button was working appropriately. Poor customer service. I had the premium subscription which renews every quarter, my mother passed away in the first month of the quarter and they would not issue a refund.
The same issue was reported by everyone else here - cancellation did not go through and was charged again. Customer service was extremely difficult to contact (only an email or chat service) and once I did contact them they refused to reimburse me despite the fact that numerous customers are reporting the same issue. I'll be warning people away from this service!
Unbelievably expensive. No reminder alerts before they renew your card for an obscene amount of money to keep membership. The premium membership is in place so you can message potential caregivers, so without it the whole site is worthless.
Ive spent an hour trying to contact customer service, support etc. Its awful. The app wasnt letting me reset and Ive already been charged for background check I cant cancel because customer service is impossible to find. I would never recommend this service.
Absolutely horrible company. I tried to cancel multiple times but kept getting thrown in a loop where I would click cancel and it would want. my password, to which I clicked forgot password only for it to email me a link to log in and not reset the password, only to finally get a hold of someone and tole my email wasn't verified so they wouldn't let me cancel. 2 star because i did find quality people but their cancel button did not work and I was charged for several months as I overlooked the charge on my bank. They won't provide a refund for their faulty website.
