No phone number to contact someone. The online chat is awful. They won't answer any of your questions, and when they do, the information they provide is inaccurate. Constant technology issues on their site. They then canceled my membership when I asked for a partial refund when I couldn't use their site to respond to my messages, even though I was a 'premium' member.
Terrible. They will refuse to give a refund even though cancelling your subscription is extremely non-intuitive. When you go to cancel, youll be logged out afterwards. You have to log back in apparently to finish the cancellation but that is so unclear. So at first my cancellation did not go through but I was unaware. I contacted their customer service and managers and they refused to refund me for the one month I was charged again even though it was clear that it was systems error / I was human and made a mistake. After trying to use Care.com's platform, I was very disappointed.The prices for short term membership are exhorbitant, and there is no customer service on their site unless you pay for membership... Which does not do anyone any good, if you have questions and need information, to help you decide whether a 'Premium membership' is worth it for you. Care is not what they appear. They do not have providers like they indicate. When I cancelled my account, they continued to charge me. In order to speak with customer service about this issue; I had to add the premium membership back on. They disagreed that I cancelled even though I had their email verification. So I sent my credit card company after it. Very shady. Negative stars.
Cannot cancel my subscription. Keep getting caught in a loop where it tells me my password is bad so I reset it and go to cancel again and it tells me my password is not valid. Seems like they are doing this purposefully. Cannot find phone number to call to assist with cancellation.
This absolute scam. They show you fake babysitter profiles in your area to sign you up. The moment I paid for the service all of those profiles disappeared and it said there are no nannies in your area. They told me I should try and post a job to find one! All I needed is an occasional babysitter for date night, its not a job. Next they have an option for a one time babysitter but, they make you pay for the hours of care before you even find a babysitter!! Who would do that? You can not get in touch with a person. Where do I write a review about the person that we hired. She is lazy and is only there to collect money. There doesn't seem to be anyone monitoring who goes on this site. Do NOT use care.com. They should be named scam.com
I've had a basic free membership for many years. I have posted jobs, but they are rejected, yet no one will tell me why. I just discovered three separate charges on my credit card statement that I didn't make. When I sign into my account, it still says I have the basic membership and no charges have been made. I called them to have them removed. They said they have a strict no refunds policy. I said I never made the charges, but they still refuse to credit my account. I will call my bank and file a complaint against them.
