This company is engaged in online fraud. They make you think you're signing up for one month but they charge you for a year up front and refuse to refund you. They ended their online chat with me abruptly when I said this. They have no phone number to reach them on. They need to be shut down.
A terribly predatory company. You must pay their fee first only to find out that they have no available caretakers. There were many listed but many of them had very specific criteria and limitations to what they would offer, unless you chose those care takers with a poor rating. Care.com uses a members background check to determine their credibility and I get that. But to delete my profile because of a clients family member complaining that ** harassing them ? I never harassed I did my job but if paydays are set on a certain day then lets keep our word. Care.com gives no reason why a member is erased from their platform will not give a chance to talk to anyone about why I can not use platform. Caregivers should have a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. I have been on this website for over a ******** have families that trust me with their lives. I HAVE ALSO REFERRED MANY FAMILIES TO THIS SITE. WHILE I WAS CARING FOR A CLIENT FROM CARE.COM, my account was terminated without ANY EXPLANATIONS as to why. They took the money for my annual renewal background check, but terminated my account 2 months later, out of the blue. Care.com has one of the worst possible customer services. If you don't pay extra to receive the privilege of calling calling CSR over the phone, you are punished by relying on their snail-like responses over the email. As long as it's not too important, this doesn't matter but when it something involving money, such as unpaid bookings due their glitching debit card function, it is troublesome. Don't waste your time and money. Never give them your credit card information. They will randomly bill you and you can't speak to a human.
If I could leave a zero-star review, I would. Care.com is a shell of the company it once was. Their technology is riddled with errors. Their cross-platform integrations for background checks are basically not working, yet they continue to charge people for services these services. Their member ops team is clearly overwhelmed, and it is pretty clear that they lack leadership and the skills to fix the issues they are experiencing. This is basically a monopoly gone horribly wrong. If you can avoid them, DO.
