I am being charged monthly for an account that I have closed and have proof that I closed it on June 18, 2022. I cannot login to speak or talk with a representative because my account is CLOSED but they keep charging me. I will be taking it up with lawyers but this is ridiculous that we cannot talk with someone on the phone to dispute this issue!!!! Worst customer service ever.
Unethical billing practices. Despite thinking you are purchasing a one, two or three month term, they automatically enroll you in an ongoing subscription service without your consent or control. I purchased a one month term, why would I want to enroll in a never-ending service? It is then up to you to figure this out and cancel the subscription before they charge you. I'm grateful to say that I found a house keeper through the service but my 2 star review is mainly about the fact that even though I cancelled my paying membership after finding a good house keeper, Care.com continued to charge my card despite the fact that I cancelled the service through their website. Same scam as many others...cancelled premium, thought it was cancelled but wasn't. Company refused to re-emburse. They have a permanent glitch in their cancel button apparently, also they conviently do not send out mo they invoices. This has to be by design.
I have used Care.com for YEARS and YEARS and never had issues until now. In fact I've been interviewed by their marketing departments before. But obviously, by these reviews something isn't going right. I started a subscription to be able to post jobs. Care.com has been nothing but stressful! It is already difficult enough to find ************ let alone pay a fee only to have an account "disappear." Literally, my account is not found, I can't access it to formally complain to the company because I can't reach a live person. I am well aware that memberships auto renew until cancelled as they do not offer any other option (red flag #1). As a ************* (hence why I needed to find a sitter) I forgot to cancel my membership but since I clearly hadnt used the membership in almost 2 weeks because I found a sitter, I was hoping they would offer me some ***** and refund me the money. Awful.. charged and extravagant amount of money with not a single response from a sitter or nanny with a very typical after-school care job posting. Very disappointing
Care.COM is awful. I am not complaining about the charges - which are clearly there to protect themselves from all the dissatisfied customers... I'm more upset about the lack of usability of the platform. It takes hours and hours to sift through caregivers who don't match the criteria. Then you can't eliminate ones you've already evaluated. Just a complete waste of time.
