Disgusting and predatory company. They charged 3 recurring payments during a 9 month period where I did not use the service a single time. Each payment was over the price of any of their listed payments and they claim no refunds or returns as part of their fine print. I had only used the service for a short month period and then was billed quarterly on an automatic subscription.
This company is a total SCAM, as noted by nearly everyone below. I signed up as a babysitter/nanny to find gigs. Well, I have no idea if parents are even receiving my messages/applications, because every time I try to send one, Care tries to get me to pay for an additional service (a background fee). I purchased the premium membership in August 2022 and within a couple of weeks knew it was a terrible match for my family (we were in a childcare bind). I cancelled through the app. Lo and behold, I realized by accident today (February 2023), that the company continued to charge my credit card. I am a janitorial services provider and went to set up a profile to see what jobs were available but the profile would not let me complete it unless I divulged private health information about my vaccine status so the users could see that information. I'm not against the vaccine but I am against companies discriminating against people who want to keep their health information private. This is a disgrace to the company and their users. Very sad.
I think this website is a rip off. I purchased a one month premium subscription in January 2023 to aid in me finding a nanny. The options that were given were one month, quarterly, or annually. I chose the higher of the three because, i did not want a subscription past one month and the way I understood it when I signed upped is that I would only have the premium subscription for one month. Found good senior caregiver via care.com. Terrible website for ending service when done. Care.com, IMHO, makes it difficult to cancel subscription. Finally found workable phone number through the BBB. Thank you BBB.

Good for connecting people but thats about it. Poor communication, you have to upgrade (pay) to even chat with someone from care.com. I had a client pay for background check and it never got done, almost lost the job. Care.com actually said their background checks were having technical difficulties. This company has NO customer service; no phone number, no access to chat , no response to email. I paid nearly $40 to respond to appliants to the ad I ran for a pet sitter. I had one day to access the responses then the account was blocked by a page stating I needed to submit anogther $19 for a background as is required for all care providers.
