Clearly a company that has no faith in the value they provide, so they rely on a predatory overpriced subscription model that requires automatic renewal and offer no refunds if you forget to cancel before the next charge. And, I should have expected, I was not able to find the care I needed through their service. 100% do not recommend.

Care.com took my monthly payment but then cancelled my account without explanation after 1 day. What kind of scam do they think they are trying here? A quick dispute with the credit card company took care of that. Just stay away from this place. It really isn't anything more than a message board. Once you sign up, they just try to upsell you on criminal background checks. Seems like that should be a basic part of the service especially when you see some of the people listed on the site. Tried to leave a review on Trustpilot with evidence of emails but Care.com has **** negative reviews and a 1 star standing there so clearly they couldn't handle another. My boyfriend paid the $20 to do the background check and set up a basic account but what they don't tell you up front is that they ONLY accept HEAD SHOT images, even for pet care! and that you literally have to pay $30+ per month to be able to ACTUALLY USE and COMMUNICATE with others on their website. Incredibly dissatisfied. It's difficult to find any sort of care for your kids on here to start. I posted jobs all January, direct messaged care takers and got no results. On top of that, I forgot to cancel the membership a day late for February and they refused to give me a refund. I tried again all of February to find someone for our kids and still nothing. Bottom line, we paid almost $100 to get no help and they refused to give a refund for the month I meant to cancel only a day late.

I paid for the membership and I hired a babysitter. I was charged almost $60 for the membership and over $100 for the babysitter. The babysitter messaged me 5 days later saying she still has not received payment and showed me screenshots of the conversation she had with customer service. ********************, from customer service told her they are not able to resubmit payment and to contact her employer. Care.com is a fraud. you put your information for background check payment says that you can cancel any time the catch is after you pay, they keep your credit card information, even if you want to erase your credit card information or to cancel the service you can't , is unable to delete your credit card , so they keep charging you even if you don't want to use there service any more. Stay away. Is ilegal to keep the costumer credit card information use how they want and unable you to erase your own informations......
I think this company's practices are highly unethical and I'm not sure how they can even get away with treating customers this way. I had a similar experience to many other people who have posted reviews here. After canceling my subscription and membership, I continued to be billed. When I tried to find customer service support, I was unable to do so without upgrading to a premium membership, which seems like a joke. Unfortunately, they don't live up to the name. They should rename themselves careaboutyourmoney.com. They sign you up, put all kinds of notices in the terms of service. Then they just keep charging without warning you. BUYER BEWARE. In the end, they are another way of taking your money when you are desperate for help, assistance of any kind.

I signed up as a basic member to find a pet sitter, They have you put in all your information , post your ad, people start replying to my ad. Here's the kicker, I can't reply to the applicants unless I pay to upgrade. I mostly feel bad for the people thinking that they could possibly have a job. Scam.
