This company has NO customer service; no phone number, no access to chat , no response to email. I paid nearly $40 to respond to appliants to the ad I ran for a pet sitter. I had one day to access the responses then the account was blocked by a page stating I needed to submit anogther $19 for a background as is required for all care providers. Very difficult to cancel with these guys. I cancelled 2 weeks after trying their service in August 2022. I remember they asked why and I wrote a detailed explanation including how their website showed other Relevant Profiles that were all babysitters and nannies when I was looking for a housecleaner. Apparently the cancellation didnt work so I had to do it again today (1/30/23) when I learned they were still charging us. I cancelled my account in the app on Dec 21,2023 and Care.com continue to charge a renewal fee to my credit card. I contacted them online in a chat as there's no other way to communicate with them and they are refusing to reverse the charge. This is a SCAM stay away from them!
Care.com does NOT allow you to cancel nor do they refund your money. There is no way to get in contact with them unless you have a premium membership. I will never ever use them again. They need to be reported and shut down for their horrible customer service or lack there of. I will be getting my money back.

I'm opting for local options because care.com has been difficult. They urge you to pay more for "top" services when the reason why you even signed up was to find care. There should just be a set rate for each type of account. They will cancel your account without warning and caregivers complain that they can't always see the job postings. Also, when my account was restored, the upgrades that I'd recently purchased were no longer available. I inquired about it but they just ignored it. This company needs to be investigated. They are making it VERY difficult for people to cancel accounts and they have hidden away and are completely unreachable. No way to email them - only a fake ghost email address with an automated response telling you to go on their 'help' page. There is no help, there is no live chat, there is NO number to call. Started a new account, paid a monthly fee to find a nanny, only to have my account terminated 1 day later. Tried to reach 4 times to find out why my account was terminated, have it reactivated, or get a refund, which I have not been any to resolve anything. I get 0 responses from email or calling. So thank you for stealing my money and closing my account, pretty sure that is considered theft.

They closed my account without explaining why they closed account abruptly. I had asked for my mother's personal care with bath and related services. Not sure if a certain word in asking for a specific service was offensive. That should not be the case when a request is asked to be described in detail.
