It's difficult to find reliable service. Not many responses from the providers. The background check option is not worth it. As soon as you mention background check to any one that responds, you are ghosted by them. There is no option to speak to a representative and they do not send any notices prior to renewing your subscription. I used their service for 1 month. I signed into my Care.con (unpaid subscription) account and was looking at the options for membership. I proceeded with a member ship that stated $12.95 monthly and cancel anytime I went ahead and used my PayPal to pay for what I thought was the $12.95 for the month. My account was then charged, without my consent, $155! Within seconds I was on the line with someone with the company requesting a refund and explaining that I was not told it would be $155 up front. They refused any refund. I am livid!
Care.COM is a scam. 171$ gets you a list of people that already have jobs and no refund policy. They pad the list with outdated listings for caregivers to steal your money. You must have an upgraded "premium" membership to call customer support (after 171$ payment). This is a bait n switch. They said you'd be satisfied, but there is no way to get your money back if you aren't.
This is a TERRIBLE service! I canceled and I got charged this morning. I never used it and I cant get a person on the phone. This is unacceptable customer service! Im a single mother. I cant afford to be paying 50 plus a month for something I dont even use.
Care.com charged me to run a background check without my permission. I emailed them several months ago asking them to delete my account, but they ignored that request. Now care.com doesn't allow me to contact them unless I pay for a premium account - that is absolutely ridiculous. I should be able to shut down my personal account; I don't want care.com having my personal information anymore. Care.com, please contact me and follow through on deleting my personal account.

I have tried to cancel my subscription on several occasions. I just realized I am still getting charged for this service that I have never once found used. I am now trying to cancel my membership AGAIN but cannot login to my account without putting my credit card information for a a non-refundable annual background check that costs $18.99. I need to spend $18.99 to login to my account because only when I am logged in, do I even have a chance of speaking with someone from customer service. Terrible customer service. They no longer answer their 800 number. Multiple attempts to log into their website have been unsuccessful. There seems to be no manner to contact a live representative. This is a company deserving less than a one star review.
Care.com website does not allow me to remove my credit card information even after I have cancelled my subscription. I would prefer that my private credit card information is removed. In addition, I would like a courtesy one-time refund of my subscription as we haven't used Care.com in over two years because we have not found professional, reliable candidates in our area.
