Encouraged me to pay for "premium" subscription. After I signed up and posted job, was told my job was not approved. No explanation. Can only use hourly $ rates, so if you need long term pet care, cannot get daily rate. Kept my $85 for "premium" even tho I cannot use service. Total ripoff
Ineffective, shady business practices, their terms and conditions dont reflect the values they pretend to have. They have an auto renewal process with a no refund policy that is clearly designed relying on the fact that youll forget to cancel and then they tell you they wont help you because of their terms and conditions. I signed up yesterday and had password issues immediately after I paid $4.95. I tried to reset my password and now 14 times later have still not been successful. Initially I thought it was my phone browser so I tried three other browsers. Safari, Duck Duck ************* Edge and ******* No results, I have not received the email to reset my password. I want to cancel immediately. Right now. There is no reaching them outside of the website which requires a login. So cant cancel if you cant login.
I wasnt able to find a nanny, out of the many messages I sent. Communication from the caregivers is seriously lacking. Out of the many many messages I sent only 4 people actually replied to my message. Even if the position didnt meet their needs, the courteous thing to to is send a message back declining. Then to top it all off you cant remove your credit card information without talking to someone first and they just keep charging you and refuse to refund you.
I recently babysat for a regular family. I always request money and they pay me same day. This time I requested money and it went through on their end and I have yet to receive it. It has been 16 days. I have emailed them repeatedly with no response and of course that is the only way to contact them.
I used Care.com in 2017 as a caregiver and had an okay experience. I tried to login into my account just to see what jobs were available in my area. I couldn't remember my password. It sent a message to my email and when I clicked on it to update my email it asked me for $18 to update my account and have a criminal offense check. I signed up for three months for the premium membership. No where was it apparent that it would automatically renew. I only use the service for two weeks of my first three months and never used it again. When I was charged for another three months, I immediately emailed and explained that I was not aware that it would auto renew nor had I used the service in over two months so I wanted them to refund the second three months. They refused. I think their practices are deceiving.
The offered add-ons to their subscription that I didnt intend to buy. It was hundreds of dollars and when I told them the add-on purchase was accidental, they refused to refund my money. They even added insult to injury by informing me that refusing to refund my money was a corporate policy to ensure the best service to me as a customer. Who screws you over like that and then tells you its for the best? I felt like I was talking to a gaslighting abusive spouse.
SCAM!!! Do not subscribe under any circumstance. I canceled and was still getting billed for it. i never received an email until the person i contacted sent an email. Also, there phone number does not work so you can call them you have to email or chat. If there was a zero-star option i would take it. So mad I fell for their scam twice. I have deleted my account and will never ever use them again no matter what. I want my full refund back.
