I had the same experience with care.com.They renewed my subscription without notifying me. They do not post easy access to CANCELL it's very clunky and hard to use.I never really used their site but had an active membership for one year they just recently charged my cV19 for the yearly fee without informing me first.It's very difficult to get in touch with them.I would never recommend them for anything.I hope they are able to live in their own SLIMY SKUNS.
Incredibly dishonest business practices. I received ZERO correspondence, no billing confirmations, statements, etc. but was continued to be billed despite not using the service. If you base your profits on busy parents forgetting to cancel your services, you should figure out another option. A simple email reminder and regular correspondence is standard practice. Do better. Disgusting.
Avoid this site. They are a scam with customer service designed to mislead you. We had upgraded a year ago, looking for a new provider, forgot that we still had an account. it auto-renewed on 8/2. I immediately contacted them and ask to have it canceled and refunded ($160). They "refunded" 11 months but refused to refund the 12th month - "we don't have refunds." I have now interacted with them more than 5 times. Please avoid using this service. their customer service is terrible.
I have had an account with care, since 2017. Subscription paid yearly with my CC on file, the last fee was taken out on July 3rd 2022 and my account was closed by them on August 1st 2022. I had four 5 star reviews. I had not used care for employment since December 2019, mainly due to covid and my last very horrendous job through them. ** Dishonest Billing Practice: BEWARE--this business has a recurring monthly billing so make sure that you go to the site and discontinue service otherwise they will not refund even if you stop using the service for months.
Any social worker who recommends this website should have their license revoked. ********************** is designed to make profit. There is no care involved. It is impossible to speak with a person, and the software runs the website. None of the care givers are vetted and the biographies are invariably false. Care.com doesn't protect the people that are supporting them. I had to have background checks done so the people you go to work for need the same. I worked for 8 weeks and was not paid care.com did nothing to help. The lady I worked for has done this over and over again. I have over **** due to me with no help. Care takes your money and does nothing to earn it. Awful awful site
I cancelled a membership close to when it accidentally was renewed. They did not send a confirmation email. I got charged for this same membership again. I went on my account and cancelled it again ,and they still didn't send a confirmation email. I asked for my account to be refunded for this fraudulent charge. The phone number did not answer. The chat person ended the talk before the situation was resolved.
I was charged for a premium account, for $4.99 which I was at the time not concerned about, but then a hour ago I was emailed saying your account has been closed.
