I wish I could give this zero stars. I started my account during lockdown, hoping to find odd jobs. I paid for the Carecheck (*****) but opted to stick with a basic membership with no monthly fee. I barely touched by account once starting it due to lack of jobs posted and then forgot about my account entirely. They would not reset my password and continued to charge me monthly even after I reached out. When I finally got help they waited until the next billing cycle day to make sure to charge me one more time. They intentionally lock accounts and drag their feet unlocking them so they can make a few extra months of charges. Do not sign up for the site. You won't get viable leads and they'll scam you out of money.

Do NOT join this service or pay for any services they offer.I signed up for Care.com as a caregiver. I paid $19.00 for the background check and $4.99 (reg ****) for the reoccurring monthly membership. I filled out all the forms and gave them my drivers license number and my social security number. I tried to cancel my subscription, received an email saying I would not be charged anymore. I was charged two weeks later, and when I talked to someone on the online chat, they refused to provide any contact information to me to contact their managers/superiors and continued to tell me I would have to be charged the full 6 payments before my account would be canceled. ONLY received a refund once I said I would file a complaint. Do not use this business, as the sitters that are on the site also have to pay to be seen by you.

They are terrible! Deleted my personal account after I paid for the background check and premium upgrade stating I had a business. I explained my business was closed months ago and was an LPN trying to do private duty. They insisted I worked with a team. Told me to complete a business account! Refunded the background fee and told me they would refund the premium upgrade when I sign up for a business account!!! There is NO business!!!

All they want is to lock you in and have you pay for something you dont need. I became a member because as a single mom, it was time for me to get back in the workforce after the pandemic. I had to subscribe just to search for decent caregivers. After giving it two months, I realized I was wasting my money and I was able to find a local caregiver. They charged us for a recurring annual subscription that we canceled nearly a year ago and when contacted only gave us a partial refund despite the fact we had not used the service since early 2021 (it's now April 2022) (and canceled it, despite their claim to the contrary).

This site is a complete scam. I reached an agreement with a caregiver and paid the $59 background check. The person didnt show up to work as agreed and when I left a negative review on their profile care.com removed it which leads me to believe the site doesnt represent their providers accurately and is misleading the public for monetary gain.

I signed up for month - thinking my access is only for that- they have been charging me for the past year!!!!! customer service is awful. The lady had script to read off of. There were no supervisors available. The *** of the company has his "message" option blocked on linkedin probably because he was getting way too many complaints for the awful service. Shame on them
