I inadvertently signed up when looking for care. Now there is a billing dispute and it is absolutely impossible to contact them using the poor options available. Can't get anyone on the phone, no live chat, email function is inoperable. I am willing to pay them but I cannot contact them. Totally inacceptable.

Care.com is unreachable by phone or email. I paid for a background check to offer my services to potential clients. I received confirmation and when I try to log into my account, it asks me to verify my information again including my credit card information. I have to contact my banking institution to stop further access for services I did not agree to. I tried to reach out to staff members on LinkedIn but no response. They need to be reported!

I was charged without warning for a service I never utilized

Misleading. It allows you to set up an account and post a job. But you cannot talk to any applicants or have any interviews without paying for the service. Please let me know as soon as I get on that I need to pay, don't try to hide it and then hit me with it. Makes me NOT want to do business with you. I don't mind paying for a service but I don't like being lied to. And then when I try to take down the job or close my account, it doesn't give me any options. Searches for those options go in circles. This feels like a scam. ... read more

Was charged 12 times for monthly payment for no reason. There is no phone number to reach them. Emailed and tried their online chat multiple times , still no response. Account was deleted by company after contacting bank about charges without justification.

This site is so horrible. I tried to create an account and they basically require a fee-based membership. I paid this and then they cancelled everything that I did. My post sounded like a business (home office?). Then they didn't like my address and then my email. Then they denied my postings, but then they stayed up. Then they kicked me off after I paid with no explanation. Then they kept requiring that I verify my identity? No idea how this is supposed to work. Care.com now requires anyone who wants to use their platform as a seller of services (a nanny, a tutor) to get a care.com background check. This is annoying, since I'm a state-certified teacher and already have a background check, but whatever, I get that this gives the families more incentive to use care.com as a service. Care.com works a "bait and switch" scheme in promoting their service. I was looking for aid for my senior parent and came across Care.com's network. The network advertises care cost per hour and poses as temp service for care for a loved one. The bait --Ask for personal information of the individual needing care, such as name, address, hours and days needed, personal hobbies, etc. After delivering this information, the service states they will send prospective aids for you to consider. Hello, I am sorry for your frustration. Care.com is a paid subscription service and not a free service. I'm sorry if you thought otherwise and therefore felt mislead. That was never our intention. Many sites like ours charge a fee in order to be able to offer you the features our site offers. Otherwise we'd just be like any other free classified site with very little to offer.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! Parents beware! We were asked to place a deposit on a service for a person we've never met or hired before. The app said "place a deposit" so we did knowing that any service provider will allow cancelation with no penalty. A day later I canceled this service realizing they were requesting pre-payment for services months in advance. We canceled and notified the "sitter" via messages that we weren't going to use them.
