I have had the worst response and resolution with this company. I signed up about 4 years ago and have never successfully found a babysitter through this services. I decided to sign up for the premium membership hoping I would have more success finding a child care since I was moving to another area. When signing up for a premium subscription I found the information displayed to be very misleading and thinking that I was going to be paying $12.95 monthly, I was charged one lump sum for an entire year. After reaching out to a representative I was told that I would have to pay $39 for the month, but could receive a refund for the rest of what I was billed. I wish that I would have read these reviews prior to using Care.com. I signed up because there was what I thought, jobs near me. I wanted a basic membership, no charge. I was charged for a premium, I did not sign up for! Then the jobs were not on there for my zip code. Then my photo could not be uploaded, because of errors! I tried and tried to cancel, to no avail. I chatted a rep who then said no refunds! I paid $37.16 to Care.com yesterday after waiting a month till I could afford it. I had gotten 1 response. They took my money and then I get an email this morning from them saying that my account was closed and gave me no reason why. I am a 69 yr old disabled female who has been homeless for 9 months. This company is very deceptive and should be shut down ASAP! There is no way for me to cancel their monthly subscription!!! I shouldn't have to cancel my card due to their fraudulent practices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Care.com website is fraudulent. I tried to cancel my subscription in October. On the profile there is a "cancel" option. When I hit the cancel button it took me to the home page. I assumed it was cancelled. Last week in Jan I noticed I was still being charged. I got back onto the site and tried cancelling again and again it took me to the home page. I got onto the help chat. Do not use this company, they have very deceptive practices. I signed up thinking I was paying for a one time payment for one month but the company is very deceptive they automatically charge you monthly. There is no way to call customer service because they do not list a phone number online. When i finally reached someone by chat they tried to blame me for not canceling the service. This company is a fraud. Once you register with them you can't get in touch with anyone by phone. I have been messaging to cancel membership for months with no success. They kept drafting my account. They do not assist with anything as far as finding care jobs. Do not use this service!
Tried for a year to cancel my account. Repeated phone calls were hung up on. Emails were not responded to. Then an email finally came saying my issue was resolved. I was relieved to finally be done with them then noticed months later they had STILL been billing me monthly. When I finally got someone on chat (pro-tip that's the ONLY way to get any service from them) they would only refund 4 of the 12 months I was billed for. Crooks.
