Tried for a year to cancel my account. Repeated phone calls were hung up on. Emails were not responded to. Then an email finally came saying my issue was resolved. I was relieved to finally be done with them then noticed months later they had STILL been billing me monthly. When I finally got someone on chat (pro-tip that's the ONLY way to get any service from them) they would only refund 4 of the 12 months I was billed for. Crooks.
If I could give them zero stars I would. Their premium subscription is advertised as 10 to 12 dollars monthly. After 1 week on their website, I could not find a baby sitter for a newborn. Many of their nannies are not vaccinated even for COVID vaccine (in the middle of the pandemic when children are getting hospitalized this December). They false advertised the rate saying that " to save families, the premium subscription is ***** dollars per month." They billed me 155 dollars anyway. This company is running a scam full stop. I signed up, looked for sitters in my area and found none. I attempted to delete my profile but unbeknownst to me it didnt go though. I continued to be billed for two years NEVER receiving any kind of **** or receipt for my payments. After several calls and e-mails their customer service responded with a terse email filled with broken hyperlinks. I have put in a calls to my state reps and senators about this business. I hope others will do the same.
I filled out an application to post my profile as a tutor on Care.com. My card was billed for ****, supposedly for a premium account that included the background check. The next screen said that my application was not accepted and to click on a button if I wanted an explanation from admin. I clicked on the button. (Who wouldn't?) Several days later after hearing nothing, I checked their FAQs which said that a reply is sent out 10 minutes after that button is clicked and to check spam. I checked spam. No response there. 0 out 5 stars. I tried to apply for a job I saw listed on ******* It brought me to care.com and said I had to start an account. I started an account to apply for one job only. When I got to the page where I found out I had to pay to complete the account, I tried to delete it. It will not let me delete the account without first paying to finish creating the account. Now I'm stuck with a profile and my information on care.com when I do not want it there.
Sneaky business practices! Just like previous reviews state, I cancelled my subscription or so I thought. Turns out they make you jump through hoops to completely cancel my subscription. I have been billed every three months since and didn't realize. I contacted them stating I cancelled and I am still being charged. They said I did not cancel and had to use customer support to help cancel. I would give 0 stars if I could. They deleted my profile because I offered to watch children in their or my own home and they told me that that indicates I am a business, rather than an individual. No warnings. No refund to premium. Was told to create a business account which makes you list your home address for everyone to see despite not being licensed (no safety concerns there right?)
Total waste of time and suspicious billing practices. I found no available caregivers. Many caregiver information is outdated. And if you don't use the service and you try to cancel after auto renewal date, they will not provide a refund (quoting their no refund policy) - they should be ashamed of themselves
