I paid 18.99 for the background check and the whole years required pay. It cant identify my ssn even though I only have one and all my information is correct. They will not refund my money even though Im unable to create an account with them. I emailed them over a week ago and havent heard back.
Signed up for the service advertised, and it is a bait and switch type of service. They let you build a profile, and they let potential matches reach out to you, but when you try to establish a connection with a potential fit, they then tell you that you need to upgrade to a premium membership, etc. before they will let you communicate. Of course I canceled my membership immediately, and came here to leave a review - should have come here first and saved myself a headache.
Do NOT subscribe!!!!!! They kept charging my card after changing my subscription. When I kindly brought it to their attention and asked for a refund I received absolutely no response. Zero.
No responses at all to an expensive ad. When I complained (very frustrating chat process and email process with incredible delays) they suggested adding more details. My ad could not possible be more detailed and the rate was well above the average. Should have read these reviews first. Dont waste your money!
Im a paying premium member of care.com. Ive been on the site since 2011. I had no issues in the beginning. In the past year, they changed their policy and now I have to be a premium member and so does the person Im applying to or I cant talk to them and they cant respond to me. Total rip off. I canceled my subscription within the allowed 30 days and they continue to charge me monthly or over a year. Then, when I show them the proof, they still would not refund my money.
I have been a member of Care.com for many years. I moved to *******, ** and would like to change my location to get some gigs. You cannot change your location online and there isn't a soul from the care team that will help me. I have written and written and reached out...even tried to call. Their customer service is non existent. Help!
Care.com has the worst customer care EVER. What's even worse is they prey on those who are in need of help. I was recently diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that left me disabled so I signed up to find a caregiver. I thought I signed up for a yearly subscription for $77 later to find out via credit card charge 3 months later that I opted for a reoccurring 3 month subscription. These people are the worst. Charging me for services not provided. Impossible to reach a company representative or get any kind of recourse or help. Thieves and liars. How these scams artists are allowed to operate on the Internet is beyond my understanding.
