Stay away! Shady practices, unwanted subscriptions, deceptive support. Right off the bat when I went to start a LLC they neatly included a $199 registered agent subscription. Once I realized what they had done I could not cancel. They made it difficult and clearly use and abuse this bogus subscription as a money maker. Stay clear, read the other comments.
Legal Zoom is trying to extort money from me for a service I never used ! I want my credit card credited back for a charge for a service I never used
Scammers!! Just charged my account and when I asked for refund said they could not give refund. My business is not open and they said could not give a refund. They did not provide any service so why not give a refund. They are running a sketchy business do not use them
I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with LegalZooms unprofessional and incompetent handling of my account. After deciding that I no longer needed their services, I reached out to cancel my subscription and close my LLC. Despite sending multiple emails well in advance, they consistently claimed they never received my requests. Even after contacting their customer service, I was met with little more than empty apologies and excuses, with agents insisting there was nothing they could do. Legal Zoom failed me in two major ways and I warn people not to use them. !) they failed to include the fact that you must upload ID to use their alternate address service. Those of us who are very worried about privacy do not want to upload to a 3rd party copies of our IDs. Once enrolled multiple efforts to be removed from it did not get completed so I paid for a services I could not use and could then not get mail sent to my business. Legal zoom refuses to refund a Registered Agent Fee of $399 for a business I closed with them in 2023. Unbeknownst to me, Legal zoom sent a follow up email to me after I paid a fee and completed paperwork to dissolve my business. The "follow up" email unaddressed, "allowed" Legal zoom to remain a registered agent even though my business was in fact dissolved nonetheless with the state. I've been trying to reach someone at LegalZoom for support, but the experience has been incredibly frustrating. Every time I call back to speak with a specialist, I'm redirected to customer service, who tells me I have a ******** window to respond after their initial call yet nothing happens when I do. Then, Im forced to reschedule and wait several days, only to hear that no one is available due to short staffing. I changed my mind about having an LLC because the state that Im from, you just need a business permit. Less than 24 hours after filing for an LLC I wanted to retract and get a refund back. They cant refund due to policy because the papers have been submitted already to the state and cant cancel and refund me. I cant call my state secretary because its a weekend and legalzoom is just a scam
We've been trying to get a non-profit status from the State of ******* through LegalZoom since April with no success. Just the same excuses with little, or no action. 8 months is way too long. This business is terrible.
