Hired Legal Zoom to file a trademark patent. It was very expensive and was never finalized after 2.5 years. Total waste of time and money. I recommend to use someone else.

Someone stole my credit card number and charged a recurring charge with Legal Zoom. Noone at Legal Zoom will help me. They are rude and refuse to remove the charge. They continue to charge my card monthly even when I've replaced the card and put a stop payment. Never in my life have I seen such bad customer service. Stay far away from this company.

Please be aware that if you have a recurring charge and you dont cancel on time, the company will not provide ANY refund. Even if you caught it immediately and canceled. Even if its for a one year service and you caught it right away. They will not even offer a proration. All you will get is a run-around Im sorry. I would suggest you stay far away from this company that only wants to take your money and not provide good customer service. Like so many others on here, I signed up with them strictly to set up an LLC, I wanted to be my own registered agent. But somehow LegalZoom became my RA with the state of PA. I didn't think about it until my cc was billed $199 3/4/25. When I called they claimed I had to have it this way because the state requires me to have a Registered agent on file. I explained to them that I am the registered Agent and did not want LegalZoom on my business or have them handle any filings with the state since I already have an accountant. ... read more

One star just seems too high! I just got taken by Legal Zoom for $168. I called regarding an issue I had filing online for a non-profit. I did not realize that my auto fill had altered my application when I submitted it. I called them as soon as I received the document and told them that the name of the Director and the Registered Agent was wrong due to auto fill being enabled on my browser. They auto renew services and hides the option to cancel subscription. you call their customer service to cancel with time they still charge you. When you call back for a refund they say the cancellation was not requested when we had a call about it before the renewal!! stop hiding the option to cancel. $400 down the drain

Buyer beware or wary. With a little research, you can see that LegalZoom has had multiple issues in multiple states where they've been accused of straddling the line between providing a legal service and then nothing more than pointing an individual or business wisely in the direction of all of the right forms. This is a horrible company and a complete scam. They make it nearly impossible to dissolve your LLC. I made a payment in March to dissolve my company, but they said my order expired. They won't refund my order and they won't dissolve the company. Completely useless, don't recommend!
