LegalZoom is a predatory company, they use an auto opt in, subscription fee of $249/year for LLC registered agent. After seeing this charge on my credit card yesterday, with no warning email or text reminder, nothing, I called them to end my registered agent subscription, that I had no idea I was auto enrolled in, and requested a refund on the day the charge appeared. I am very unhappy and frustrated with this business. It's all about them making money a fee for this and a fee for that, they seem so nice when you're opening a business but when you want to close it that's when they play their games. I had high regards for this company LegalZoom which I had used in the past. The service I received recently was very disappointing. I paid $649 for a trademark and had an intake call and was told to fill out the consent form and email it back to ******* which I did and did not hear from her or any other representative after leaving a few emails. Predatory business. They will gladly charge you $300 a year forever and ever, even if your business has been dissolved or is in a revoked state. They will make account cancellation an absolute nightmare, they will tell you they cant cancel your subscription, theyll give you the run-around and transfer you to ever single department and you still wont have any answers. I am extremely frustrated with Legalzoom. I wanted to create an LLC for my properties and Legalzoom made it seem so easy, educational and worth the cost. I really wish someone would of written this review I'm writing before I signed up with them - this is a complete scam. I have paid short of $1,000 for NOTHING! I was really disappointed with the service I received from LegalZoom. I paid for their business formation package, but the process was slow and frustrating. The website was clunky and hard to navigate, and the customer support team was unhelpful.I had to wait weeks for my documents to be processed, and even then, they contained errors that I had to pay extra to fix. I signed up for an LLC a year ago with Legal Zoom. They claim that it is state law to have legal representation. I received a charge on my credit card for $299 randomly in August. I called to dispute and they said they would not refund or credit me. I asked to speak to a manager and they said that person was at lunch and would call me back. I never received a call back. LegalZoom made not one, but two, errors when publishing a legal notice that's required to do business in the State of *******. Despite making these errors, they would not reimburse me for having the notice published a second time in order to meet State requirements. Why pay them if they can't get it right in the first place?
