I created a living trust on LegalZoom that included a couple of property transfer deeds. They billed me ~$900 immediately upon completing the order. The documents were to arrive in a week or so. After two weeks, I contacted them because I did not receive the docs. They said the delay was with their partner "GoDeeds" who process the property transfer deeds - and said I could contact them for an update. I said no thanks, you do it, it's your partner. I purchased a property deed transfer through LegalZoom for my elderly, widowed mother for $249. No where on the LegalZoom website did they tell me that it would be impossible to get the deed notarized in my state. I called several notaries (including Town Hall services, Lawyers, banks, etc.) and they all said no --they will not notarize a deed that they didn't prepare. The deed that LegalZoom provided through GoDeeds is useless to my mom. They would not refund my money because 7 days had passed since I received the document.... read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. Awful company--do not use them for the formation of an LLC. They have dropped the ball at every turn. I have been waiting weeks to cancel them because they said I can't cancel without an EIN yet them made a mistake with filing my EIN and I caught it. They have continued to charge me for the subscription despite doing nothing for me. Every new agent I have spoken with on the phone or on the chat with has different information and does not understand what I need. they are useless. The l... read more

This may turn into an actual complaint to the company, but for now all I can say is if you pay for something you're gonna have to really stay on them to get what you paid for. I'm two+ weeks out from placing my order and I STILL haven't received some of my documents (the other half of the estate planning documents that I had to fight with them to get just showed up today. After notifying legal zoom of my wish to cancel a registered agent subscription, they continued to bill me $299 per year. I was unable to cancel the service via their website - each time I cancelled, the subscription continued to show as "active." I finally called and forced them to cancel the subscription while on the phone, and verified that the website showed as "cancelled." I ordered my will, financial power of attorney and my healthcare directive through LegalZoom. The documents never arrived and when I called to ask for an update the representative explained to me (in the most condescending way) "How the mail system works." His arrogance was laughable. I paid them money and my personal documents may be in the hands of a stranger, but his response was to speak to me like I'm an idiot. I'll never give LegalZoom another *****.

I called Legal Zoom looking for help to start my small business at first it seemed very good. The only problem that I had with CUSTOMER SERVICE was the language barrier hard to understand they all are from a different country so someone thats very English-speaking is very complicated to understand Ive been trying to get my business off the ground since June 24, 2024 here it is September 1 and I steal have not accomplished that Legal Zoom is filing the wrong paperwork. LegalZoom is one of the worst service providers. I started my application process on May 22, 2024, using Legal Zoom to get my limited ********************* started. I had to call multiple times to follow up on the status of my application from May 22, 2024, on and they had to ask me to cancel and restart my application twice by mid-June 2024.
