I contacted Legal Zoom with a specific question about merging 2 non-profit organizations. I was walked through the steps of what needed to be done. After being charged over $350 & speaking to 5 Legal Zoom employees, I was told they couldn't do what I originally asked. The customer service is terrible. You have to constantly keep following up and most of the time something needs to be corrected because they get it wrong. I filed for an LLC though LegalZoom under the promise I could cancel any time. I attempted to cancel within the hour. Different representatives told me they could only cancel and refund me after the process went through the state. I called back every day being told that. When I finally got the alert that my order had been completed I called to finally have it canceled and they patched me around to different people all playing dumb. Total nightmare to deal with!! I started an LLC and wanted to cancel. I was told this was cancelled and then I get a charge for $249 out of my account. I contacted ********************** and they told me now to cancel I have to pay $129 and then another $200 to the state! What was I going to do? I had a mediocre experience with my LLC and my EIN. Paid for them both, they submitted and accomplished both. Then they sneakily charged me $249.00 WITHOUT MY APPROVAL OR AGREEMENT. I am disgusted with this company and their lack of integrity. What a terrible experience.

1 is the best I can give them! They could not spell name correctly on a shipping box! Every document had wrong spelling and the shipping and their welcoming documents had the name spelled even worse then what they lied about charging! Do not use them!!!! Bad mistake if you do!

Horrible. This company is a scam. Aside from an interaction three years ago when their lawyer was supposed to file several documents for us regarding a legal matter - he took our $500 and never sent the letters. Today, I logged on to file LLC paperwork, using their "free" service to paying customers and every little thing is an upsell. The service is not free and based on the reviews of Legal Zoom on this, and other sites, I do not trust them with my business. Do not set up your company with legal zoom! They set up my llc wrong, costs me all kinds of extra money to make amendments addendums etc. They put their secretarys name as the signed agent on your articles of origination so it makes it look like youre not even the owner of your own company. They do nothing to fix this, and everyone I speak with sounds like theyre from another country and English is not their main language. Super scammy site STAY AWAY! Its crazy they have not been sued and shut down yet.

Few online businesses are as sleazy as this one. They will take money before a business is created and then add fees as you go through the process of generating an LLC.
