Terrible I had no idea that Legal Zoom was one of numerous companies that seek to increase revenue stream via, in my opinion, unfair and deceptive business practices. This is a warning to all users of Legal Zoom. I used Legal Zoom to form my LLC and used them as my Registered Agent (RA) about four years ago. They have since become expensive and felt that I was not receiving the service that I expect for the annual fee. Recently, I decided to shop around for alternative RA. It has been a nightmare with Legalzoom. I am a professor, and Legalzoom interrupted me several times asking for more money (through emails). I have paid everything, and asked them about a refund for $200 because I did not need a report of certificates, and they denied the refund. I called them and they told me that the *** system was down, and they lied about it. I could apply for my EIN. Legal Zoom would not refund and payment that I was unaware was coming up for renewal. I asked them to cancel payment and they refused. I was not able to delete payment information online without calling in to the help center which was a long drawn out process and was told they were not able to refund a payment after it was processed. I have never had a company not be able to cancel a renewal if you called immediately. I am extremely unhappy with their policies and customer service.

Problems begin with the complete unresponsiveness of this company. Meeting appointments are not met. Telephone calls are not returned. They are very easy to get in touch with to start services; remarkably impossible to reach after you've paid. I expressly remember telling the associate who onboarded my TWO entities that I MUST BE CONTACTED EACH YEAR TO CHOOSE SERVICES. I have been using Legal Zoom for many years. In May 2023, I closed my business, and a couple of days ago, on March 22, 2024, they decided to charge me again for the Registered Agent Fee ($299). I called them because I never approved that charge and did not need a Registered Agent since I don't own the business. The Rep who took the call told me he could do nothing and would transfer me to the "escalation department." Oh boy... if you want nothing done and pay for it, go with legalzoom !I have been trying to create a simple LLC for more than 6 weeks and the incompetent buffoons in this company are unable to do the job i paid for.It is terrible and i regret engaging them. I contacted them regularly to get updates and every time, i am given the runaround. Right hand has zero clue what the left is doing, follow-*** never happen, but they always have the "i put our teams on it" spiel that means zit AVOID !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely terrible experience!!! I used them to streamline the *** filing process and assure myself that I didnt miss anything. I upgraded my plan to have it expedited as time was of the essence. I needed to set up a business banking account and file it with the state to in order to receive payments. I began getting notifications of action needed via email. Absolutely nightmare I will never ever recommend them to anyone they took over $800 out of my bank without any explanation whatsoever and then when I requested to cancel one agent tells me one thing while the agent says they cant refund me my money since its been 30 days however the $600 they took out my account was take just today and less then two weeks ago its a scam and I will be filing a complaint with the (BBB) and filing a dispute with my bank
