Absolutely horrible! Do not bother with them. They required DBA notarized forms, which I mailed to them. They took nearly 2 weeks to even bother with them, then sent me an email stating something needed attention: the person who notarized the forms did not fill it out completely, but instead of alerting me and returning the forms to be completed, they sent a vague email that something needed attention (the same nonsense I got every 2 days while they had my forms until they got around to bothering them)- only to tell me they ... read more

I am so disappointed in LegalZoom. I am trying to start a business but the process has taken almost a month now and they still haven't submitted my paperwork to the *** so that I can obtain an EIN number. I have called twice and spoken to two different reps within, a 3 week period, who have "assured" me that they will submit my form to the back office for review and then submit it to the ***. If I could give them negative stars I would. One is just not low enough! I thought I would spend the almost $300 fee to have them file my LLC paperwork in an attempt to save myself a headache. What I ended up with was an even bigger headache that resulted in me having to shut down my card because they kept fraudulently charging it for subscriptions I had never agreed to pay. They are AWFUL!!! There is no simple way to cancel your subscription or delete your account once they have your information. I was erroneously charged for another annual subscription after I thought my subscription had been canceled. Now, I just spent 50 minutes of my life in a chat bot with a bunch of dufuses that couldn't plain & simple cancel my subscription and delete my account. I started a company through LegalZoom. After a while we had problems with filing the tax return. With a lot of effort we filed a zero tax return, changing many consultants from LegalZoom. After that we decided to close our company. We paid LegalZoomfor this service, but the ******** company is still open after almost a year.I am willing to remove my review if we can resolve this problem.

I paid to get my LLC amendment order expedited $249 extra on 12/20/23 they didn't notify that they needed to confirm some stuff before they filed it until 1/9/24 then didn't get my paperwork filed until 1/18/24 and they REFUSE to give me a refund for the expedited service THEY DID NOT PROVIDE knowing that they said their fulfillment center dropped the ball. Unfortunately, my experience with LegalZoom has been nothing but headaches and inconveniences. Despite paying an expedited fee, they incorrectly filled the *** forms, delaying my paperwork. Their website allowed me to keep an "!" as part of my *** name, but the *** letter did not have the "!". When I took the paperwork to open a business checking account, I was told I cannot open it with the "!" being in the ***. They tried to complete an LLP application for me and it got rejected by the state because they used a form more than 10 years old. I had to them complete the application from scratch with the correct form myself. I literally paid them to do a service they couldn't do, and then I had to do the whole thing myself. When I asked for a refund they said they can't because it was past 60 days since I paid for the service. An auto payment was drafted from my account for a registered agent charge of $299 this month. I immediately authorized my accountant to notify Legal Zoom that I did not want this service. While the subscription has been canceled, I have been told I cannot get a refund.
