I have been going back and forth about receiving a refund for a product from Legal Zoom for weeks and I continue to get the run around. I was promised my refund would be expedited and I would receive it within 2-3 business days only to turn around and be told that it would be even more time that promised. This company is absolute TRASH! When I originally set up my account a few years ago with them, they told me that part of having the membership was that they took care of all of my documents and filings for me and made sure that my LLC stayed up-to-date.I paid my membership fees every year until last year the state contacted me saying that my LLC filings had never been filed, yet I noticed that LZ had charged me over $500 on multiple occasions which I assumed was for my LLC filing fee. I purchased a nonprofit package (11/15). The application was on hold because it needed 3 directors. At the time I didn't realize they weren't talking about staff members. Will not be using Legal Zoom again. I only used them because they market as being 100% online, however I still had to take the forms and get them notarized myself, and then when they finally got back to legal zoom (I had to pay additional postage) they tried to say that because the notary had included my middle initial they I needed to do the whole process over again. Paid to change last name in 2012. In 2020 I needed to revise my info. and they charged me 20$ to do that since I moved to another state. Called back a few months later and supposedly they refunded the name change to a card that was EIGHT years old that I no longer have. They said their Is nothing they can do to help me and that I would need to pay for a new name change! The initial service is great, to get you in the door. Once you're in, there's no help or willingness to work with you. You better be ready to fight for every last bit of your money if they take it. I called because my LLC was dissolution prior to them charging me the $250 for registered agent service (you can do this for $25 with a simple application on your state's site, and I did that btw, so don't do it with LegalZoom if you're reading this). Getting the services done was not a problem, but good luck cancelling a subscription you do not need anymore.The buttons to cancel the subscription do not work on the website. When you use the chat function they do not want to cancel the subscription over chat and send you a phone number to call. This phone number is different from all of their other numbers and they do not answer this phone number. I am a customer who created an LLC, dissolved the company with LZ and still see their subscription for an agent without the ability to remove it. I can't get ahold of anyone, and I have been on hold for over 2 hours. This is my 4th time trying to call to talk to someone, but no help. They can incorrectly charge a service, and then not have to answer to anyone for it.
