LegalZoom does not have lawyers on staff. They misrepresent their services, make it hard to cancel and will not issue refunds for services that were not provided. Avoid them at all costs!

The worst experience Ive ever had. I would not recommend using legal zoom. Pay 50 to the state and do it yourself. I can tell you I have cancelled this service from them go 2 years now and they keep charging me. They do this to everyone. There is nothing your card company can do because they say if its a reoccurring charge they cannot do anything. Legal zoom will tell you everything has been canceled until the next year comes. Looks like a lot of people experience the subscription and no refund's from LegalZoom. All those 5 star comments must come from LegalZoom themselves to keep their A+ with BBB! It's great between the lines you can see truth. My business also is no longer and spoke to someone over their website chat to cancel and refund me, they assured me it would be done... twelve days later no refund. This is the single worst company I have ever been associated with. I thought they would help me file paperwork to start my business. Well they were so incompetent they filed EVERYTHING wrong and delayed my business opening by two months. They then charged me $300 for my LLC to have a registered agent. They never told me that I could be my own agent for free. They also never told me I had exactly 30 days to cancel the service. Trapped me into a renewal by not allowing me to cancel my subscription on their website, then refuse to refund after ONE business day since the renewal. When I called in on a Monday after being charged a renewal fee over a weekend, I had no problem cancelling over the phone despite not having the unnecessary form their website required before allowing me to cancel. Registered a new LLC at the beginning of the year partially due to a promotion for a year of Registered ************* ($199). However after completing my LLC, I was still charged for this service. Furthermore, I called their customer support who stated I should receive a refund. When no refund was sent, I called back again and was told I was not eligible. They couldn't pay me to use their services again. I was attempting to form a DBA which should've been easy enough. A couple days after placing the order, I was emailed documents I needed to print out, sign and have notarized. Also, not a problem. When I took the documents to have them notarized, I was informed that the document wasn't formatted properly for them to notarize it and they could not notarize it as is.
