I purchased forms for a divorce. Spent over $500 a few years ago. Filed those forms with my local courthouse and then had to purchase additional forms and pay fees totaling over $600. Contacted legal zoom via email and was asking to send them all my forms I purchased. I sent them the forms. I have been in emails with I think several different people and there's no way they are reviewing the forms I sent them because they keep saying if I got free couet forms they can not ***** me a refund. 50 bucks to get started has been the biggest ripoff iv ever read. Now I'll be the first to admit I don't know anything about starting a business, but guys.... I'm over **** bucks in to get started, I'm broke jobless, back home trying to dissolve my business and I'm starting to get charged out the **** again!!! I was so happy with my experience with Legal Shield. Got my will done, had an attorney review it (not complex), paid my fees and thought I might use them again, some day. Instead, they had signed me up for a subscription to use throughout the year, that I did not need. So advance one year and they charge me again....(I forgot about this "subscription"). Worst company I every dealt with in my life no call backs even thought promised they not keeping up with anything they are doing I will never do business with them again!
If I could give them zero stars I would. It took over two months from the initial filing with legalzoom to get my official documents. Delay after delay (one of which was due to legalzoom filling out the check to the secretary of state incorrectly) and as it turns out, the only thing I paid legal zoom to do was mail the form for me. A $30 fee that they charge $200 for. The customer service reps have no idea what they're doing and will frequently tell you 'Oh, I don't know' when you ask a simple question. I am beyond disgusted that an organization like this exists - and the government allows them to be fraudulent. I was not even allowed to file a complaint before being asked to submit a review first. What world do we live in where companies can tell you they provide a service, the only way for you to get that service is to pay them upfront - provide your credit card information, and then when they don't provide ANYthing according to guidelines, they make it beyond difficult to cancel. Not happy at all with legal zoom or their customer service. Would not recommend.
I am waiting on my second order from Legal Zoom for my DBA documents. Previously, my LLC order was taken care of swiftly. My DBA process began on September 13, 2023. I am still waiting for the state finish processing and verify my documents. I asked for a refund. *** from Legal Zoom stated that once the state began the review, I cannot receive a refund.
Extremely Dissatisfied with LegalZooms Service I recently had a highly disappointing experience with LegalZoom that has left me frustrated and out of pocket. I initially contacted LegalZoom to cancel my tax advisory services and explicitly inquired about the impact on my QuickBooks account. The customer service representative assured me that my QuickBooks account would remain active despite canceling the tax advisory service.
