If I could give legal zoom less than one star I would because I have spent over $900 and they were unable to answer the basic of questions and then it took over 6 months. Just for going to tell me I still have to pay an additional $145 and when I asked to speak with somebody the only thing they keep saying is somebody should have told me this when nobody have and I've talked to multiple people on numerous different occasions and keep getting different answers. I was being charged for over 3 years for a service I didn't request or ask for because appearantly I answered the wrong answer on their questionnaire. I reached out to legal zoom regarding this issue that cost me $1000.The agent was clearly trained to answer questions as dodgey and indirectly as possible. She was unable to answer a simple question that forced me to ask multiple times for clarification until she was unable to find any way of avoiding the actual answer, and finally provided me with that answer, that I clicked ... read more

The website asks you twice if you would like a registered agent. A sales rep called me immediately after my order was placed and told me I'd be charged an additional $249 on top of what I already paid. The message stating that you'll be charged an additional $249 if you use one of their registered agents is in teeny tiny fine print. Also, the fact that they ask you twice makes it confusing on purpose so people accidentally select "yes" the second time and then they try to keep you on the hook for an additional $249. I do not recommend using LegalZoom as they cannot complete even the most basic task correctly. Most recently I used them to complete paperwork for a legal name change which should be simple, but I wanted to avoid any issues when filing as my disabled wife would be the one going to the courthouse. There were numerous errors on the form including completing the names incorrectly, listing the incorrect courthouse on the forms, and giving us the wrong form. How on earth does this "business" have an A+ rating here? They were supposed to help me file for a trademark, but they stood me up for one call and on the rescheduled call they just rushed me through an interview and provided no help at all.I was stood up for my first call and rushed through my second call. The person I eventually spoke to didn't at all understand the services I provide or how to categorize my trademark application. She just kept saying I had to "put the words on my website more." LegalZoom took $599.00 to do a trademark and $599.00 for my logo. All they did was go on ****** to see if I had a brand name that matched up with somebody else. They took my money and refused to give me a refund after I found out that I could legally use the name brand through another company. They are such a rip-off.

Outrageously expensive, misleading, and they will tell you a name available just to kick it back and say it's not.This led to me spending money on website, domains, etc, without the *** getting approved. They also push a bunch of services you don't need on you. Avoid.

Terrible service. Difficult to get issues resolved, you WILL sit on hold for hours. Hidden fees everywhere. You end up doing all the work and giving it to them to submit. They insist theyre upfront about their pricing but they are not and will set everything to auto renew without notification. Youll be locked into a monthly contract that doesnt live up to its promises. I havent even logged into my account in months and Im still being charged $150/mo for pointless services. Save your money and hire a real person.

If you live in **************, don't use LegalZoom. They told me the process was for forming my business was complete and they charged me extra for it, yet I was told by local counsel it was not. When I asked them about it, their customer service team lied. I'd be cautious of their services.
